1988 Chevrolet Camaro You are bidding on a 1988 Chevrolet Camaro (No Reserve) I don't know a great deal about cars but will try to describe this item as best as I can. Please feel free to ask any and all questions and they will be answered. The engine is a V-6 and it runs very rough. It starts relatively easily and can be driven at normal speeds under its own power. It steers and tracks straight and true; the alignment is excellent. It corners surprisingly well, considering the poor condition of the tires. It shifts gears smoothly and without problems. It was recently driven approximately 30 miles, in the dark and parked. It did not stall or have any other issues, such as charging, braking or steering while driving, other than the rough running engine and exhaust noise due to a deteriorated exhaust system. The 4-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt at Cottman Transmission and has approximately 10000 miles on it. The transmission is strong and reliable. There are no leaks or known issues associated with the transmission. Other parts, which have been replaced throughout this vehicle's history, include the alternator, shock absorbers, brakes, rotors, condenser coil and starter. There are no major dents or collision damage and as far as I know it has never been involved in an accident. The T-top does not leak. There do not appear to be any major areas of rust. The floors inside the passenger compartment and trunk area are solid; the entire car, including the floor is stable, solid and is not rusting through. Deficiencies include, but are not limited to: engine runs poorly, battery will not hold a charge for any period of time and requires jump starting, tires are in very poor condition, oil leaks, exhaust leaks, other minor mechanical and cosmetic issues (interior and exterior). The major issue with this car appears to be the engine. It runs very rough, lacks normal power, is slow to accelerate and it does leak oil, though no unusual amounts of leaking oil are readily noticed around the cylinder head or top of the engine. Recommended repairs may include replacing the engine, cylinder head, valves and/or related machinery (though I am not certain that this is or is not the case). Accessories included with this vehicle are: Leather-like T-Top storage bag installed in the trunk area and a bra (not currently installed and stowed in the trunk). The title is clear. The registration and inspection are not current (expired). Indeed I may be over or underestimating the severity of the issues associated with this vehicle.
