Vehicle Detail

This is a 1962 Volkswagen Truck PROJECT or parts vehicle. There is not a title. I wasn't given one. The guy I got it from got it from a junk yard. There is significant rust as you can see. It's a project I don't want to tackle right now so I'm gonna make space in my yard. It was Ruby Red (L456) inside and out according to the D Plate. There is an engine, transmission, seat frame, glass, wiper motor, everything else you see except for the other engine sitting in the back of the truck. The passenger windshield is cracked, but all the other glass seems okay. The side gates are functional and actually look pretty good. The luggage stow-away doors pivot at the hinges also. I haven't gotten the doors to close yet, but those hinges do work also. I know very little about the truck. I got it a couple of years ago with someones description being WAY over the actual shape it is in. "ALL it needs is the dog legs over the front wheels", he said. FUNNY!!!!! Anyway, it's a project for someone. I've always been more of a bug man anyway. Happy bidding and feel free to contact me with ANY questions. I'll answer all that I can. It is listed elsewhere and I do reserve the right to end the bidding early; although I sure don't plan to.On Aug-02-10 at 20:12:15 PDT, seller added the following information: One more thing I BEG of you all. Serious bidders only PLEASE. I try to give everyone ample opportunity to make sure they want what I post. I am straight up and don't hide anything from you. (As you can tell from the pictures and the listing). If you aren't serious in your bid, it creates a hardship for me and also the other bidders who WERE serious. I sold a Dodge Neon last November and then again in February because I am BUSY and the first guy disappeared after bidding ended. IF, after bidding is over, something happens and you can't follow through, PLEASE let me know. I'm a reasonable guy and understand that things come up. THANKS AGAIN AND HAPPY EBAYING!On Aug-03-10 at 20:53:11 PDT, seller added the following information: This just in! Someone asked me a question and being that I got it in 2008 I smooth forgot what rims are on there. The question was could it be towed; here was my answer: "I would not tow it unless you have better tires. I pulled it where it is with my little riding mower. I brought it home on a trailer. None of the wheels are bus. One is from a '66-'67 bug. All are 15 inch. Aren't bus wheels 14 inch? Didn't even think about that until you asked if it was towable." I forgot about the wheels and am I right that bus wheels are 14 inch? Now I have to do some research! Thanks and sorry if anyone feels misinformed.
