RELISTED FOR THE FINAL TIME. I PRICED OUT ALL MISSING PIECES AND IT COMES TO $950.00 for all lighting, trunk lock assy, window cranks, carpet, side body molding. I have adjusted the price because I need to move this. This is a great ride here folks. There is $2000 just in the body/paintwork. Easy and cheap to finish. Thanks. CAR IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC. Many more photos here: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/MGB/ You are bidding on one 1976 MGB Convertible. 110K original miles! 4 Speed. Engine number is PATENT NUMBER 565394. ALL ORIGINAL. Including Tonneau cover(Near Mint), Boot cover(Near Mint), Convertible top(Near Mint), Tonneau bars, Jack, Tools, etc.(see photobucket). Bodywork has been done and car has spectacular new brilliant white paint. Needs a final buffing and you are ready to go. The paint work is not the best I've seen, but FAR from the worst. I'd say 8 out of ten. I acquired this from the previous owner who started a full restoration, but lost interest. Basically, you need some trim, lights, carpet kit, a few other nick nacks and you are ready to go. Here are the details: BODY: Very nice. Some areas could have been repaired a little better, but overall, not a bad job. 8 out of 10. Not show quality, but in no way terrible. I have a pretty high standard. There are two small dents on the valance beneath the trunk lid that could be fixed by dent wizard/paintless dent removal. Other than that the car is straight and very pretty as far as the panels go. The paint is one of the brightest whites I have seen. All doors, trunk/hood close properly and have good lines. Top bows are in good condition, just needs top attached. Floors have been fiber glassed at some point. They have some corrosion, nothing major, but are solid, no rust through thanks to the glassing, see photos. CHASSIS: Very clean, some surface rust, but nothing structural. Appears to have been garaged most of it's life. Previous owner had it garaged for almost ten years. Trunk has some surface rust but nothing major/rusted through, etc. Brakes work very well, suspension seems just fine, tires(Road Hugger 185/70-14) have tons of tread. Wheels and trim rings are beautiful. I have the extra full size matching spare wheel with tire. TRANSMISSION: Shifts very well. No issues. ENGINE: Compression is from front to back 125,135,125,125 COLD. Was running super crappy, I adjusted the timing, adjusted the half closed choke and it runs very well. Has the single Zenith ZS carburetor. The exhaust manifold needs a new gasket where the catalytic converter attaches to the manifold. Motor mounts could stand replacing but are not broken, etc. This thing sounds very nice. Will put a smile on your face for sure:) Has aftermarket electronic ALLISON ignition control box. Engine cranks up every time, usually within the first couple of turns. Electric fuel pump has been installed. INTERIOR: Dash has three tears on the soft top part, nothing too major. Should show up in photos. The rest of dash is great. Door panels are excellent. What it really needs is a nice carpet kit, and one kick panel and it is complete. I have the battery cover. Seats are in good shape except for a couple of small tears on the driver seat. See photobucket pics. Passenger seat needs attaching to floor. I have the rails, guides, etc. ELECTRICAL: The dash lights all work. Tachometer and Fuel Gauge and Heater Fan do not work, have not investigated. No other known issues. I assume the healights/taillights/marker lights all work as all wiring on this car is unmolested and appears to be in VERY good to excellent condition. MISSING PARTS: I am going to try and list every possible part I know that you would need to put this back together. Previous owner threw out anything he thought had corrosion or appeared not up to par to match the new paint unfortunately. TRIM- Needs window cranks. I have all the molding, but a new kit would complement the new beautiful paint very well. You can get one form Victoria British for like $60! Needs convertible top brackets that mount to the body that the top sides slide into, rivet buttons on the body for the tonneau and boot covers. Needs a trunk lock assy. Needs ALL lighting. Side markers/taillight lenses/rear markers/backup lamp/headlight retainers(I have the headlight trim rings and one headlight lens holder. ENGINE-Needs air cleaner lid and wingnut to hold it on. WHAT WOULD I DO: Well, pretty simple, the hard work has been done. Get some lights so it is road legal and drive it while you get the other minor parts. It currently has two fuel filters, one at the tank, one at the carb. I would eliminate the one at the carb just to make sure you don't starve the carb for gas. I have not noticed any starving, but two filters is overkill. I can assist with delivery for $1.50/mile within a couple hundred, NOT THOUSANDS, of miles. IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS. Thanks and good luck.
