Vehicle Detail
1992 Lincoln Town Car, Executive SeriesExcellent Condition--NEW STATE INSPECTION You are bidding on a 1992 Lincoln Town Car, Executive Series. This car was given to me by my mother about 2 years ago, and she purchased it almost new. Throughout its life, this car was babied and well maintained, with oil changes every 3,000-4,000 miles. The car is in overall excellent condition, and has a BRAND NEW STATE INSPECTION. It runs and drives great. Engine and transmission run smoothly with no issues. There is no rust anywhere on the body. The air conditioning blows ICE COLD. Both front power seats operate perfectly, as do the power steering. cruise control, and power locks (occasionally, the rear power lock sticks). About a year ago, I had the front power windows fixed, and they operate perfectly. However, the rear power windows do not go up or down, so I have been just leaving them up. I got a front brake job about 3-4 months ago, so the front brakes are almost new. About 9-10 months ago, the dealer replaced the engine computer thing and cleaned the valves. Also, about 3 years ago, the air conditioning system was converted from the old R12 system to the newer R134a system common in newer cars, so if you ever have a leak, you won't need to find the old Freon that is now pretty much unavailable in the US. Other known issues are as follows:Odometer broke about 9 or 10 months ago at 120,861 miles. Since then, I estimate that I've driven about 8,000 miles (I have 2 cars), so I estimate the mileage at around 129,000, but I con't know the exact mileage for sure. I do know it is mostly highway milesThe power antenna and radio no longer work, but the cassette player seems to work fine, so it would seem that the problem with the radio has nothing to do with the speakers. The car is missing the right front wheel cover, but I'm sure you could get one from a used hub cap shop at nominal cost. The left rear tail light has a crack with some plastic missing (see picture). It still passed inspection in that condition, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you could get a replacement part at any junkyard for nominal cost. I have attempted to describe the car as best as I can. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to do appropriate due diligence. The car is parked in front of my home, so contact me for my address if you just want to drive by and see the exterior. If you want to drive it, etc., the contact me for an appointment. I am generally available evenings during the week, and all day Saturday and Sunday up until auction close. If you have any questions, please contact me through the auction. Obviously, with a car this age, I can offer no warranty, so the car is being sold as is. Winning bidder must pay a $250.00 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction, and must pay the balance using cash or cashier's check within 72 hours of auction close. The winning bidder is expected to complete the transaction, or negative feedback will be left. Any inspection of the car you want to do should be performed BEFORE you bid. After the auction is completed, the car is SOLD. Happy Bidding!
