Up for bidding is this nice 1998 Ford Escort ZX2, with 136k mi on it. 5 speed manual transmission. The vehicle was running like a champ until last monday, when a connecting rod broke and made a hole on a side of the block. The car starts for a little while but is undriveable. I know the hole can be repaired and the rod changed, or I could get a good motor for $200 (Pickn'Pull auto dismantlers). But I don't have the time to mess with that. I love this vehicle because is fast and a super gas saver ($25 to fill the tank). The car has new clutch 1 week old (I have receipt). The A/C was serviced a few hours before the motor broke. I've paid over $400 for that job (oh, well) So I can guarantee an ice cold A/C on this vehicle. Both lower ball joints were replaced last week also (have receipt for that too) Everything else works (interior light, horn, radio, etc) Two new front tires less than 2 weeks old. This car has no accidents. This car has never overheated. Clear Texas title in hand. I really believe this is a great chance for a handyman to have an excellent car. Pick up only.
