1976 Mercury Monarch 4 door sedan in Excellent condition throughout.. We purchased this car through an elderly couples estate about 11 years ago and the mileage seems totally true in every way. Engine runs very quiet, transmission shifts very smooth and their are no signs of leakage or smoke etc. Paint has a GREAT shine, as you can see from pictures, and barely any signs of rust. Interior is very clean-backseat almost never sat in and the front is perfect except for the standard heat separation cracks on the drivers seat bottom cushion & part of the dashboard. It has been garaged most if not all of its life by myself & the family prior to us.Though we have driven on short weekend excursions only, it is very dependable & could easily be used for daily transportation. Please note that it has been pointed out to us that the front grille & misc front marker lights are not original. The car is in the exact condition we purchased it in some 11 years ago except for yearly updated mechanical service we had performed such as new brakes, tuneup etc.It is a true head turner, a future classic in every sense & I have had at least 3 requests over the years for entry into "Period" type Indy Films.Car has a recent NewYorkState inspection, new brakes & fluid changes etc and is actively registered & insured in New York.This is part of our personal Estate sale.
