Vehicle Detail
This is a 1960 AMC Rambler Custom Cross Country Edition Station Wagon, At least on the outside. This bad boy has had a driveline switch out done by SNX Racing in Richmond B.C. The engine is an LT1 Chevy small block. The engine was rebuilt , bored out and has a serious cam in it. The rear end is a ford 9 inch that has been ladder barred and welded in. The tranny is a 3 spd auto. There is 6000 miles on the driveline. This Wagon has had extensive work done to it and deserves a good home. The restoration took 4 years, there was $5000 worth of restorative metal work done on the underside and unibody frame. The chrome and aluminum that was restored was another $6000 bucks. the interior was $4000 bucks, the driveline switch was $12000. The suspension was redone last week to the tune of 2000 dollars, all new struts, shocks, tie rods etc. add $4000 bucks worth of paint and you pretty much are looking at my wagon. There are a few flaws with this thing. The interior guys that got the car straight from the paint shop, opened the rear doors too far before the stoppers were in, and chipped the paint at the front edge of the doors. An easy fix, but i have been busy with other things. also the rear right door needs to be adjusted by a body shop,it closes too far in, once again, a 10 minute fix, just not my specialty. The radio and gas gauge work, but they need to be wired up, all signals, lights and indicators work and were done by a professional electrician. Most of the mileage on this thing has been in town , to and from my business. It is used mainly as a promotional tool for my Old School Barbershop. I park it out front and people lose there Fu(%ing minds. This is also the Rambler used in the upcoming `motion picture "Punksville` filmed in Kelowna BC Any questions , please email me at caseydonovan@live.ca.On Jul-26-10 at 09:56:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention all current bidders: I just had a look at this thing in more detail. The tires have uneven wear due to the suspension issues that were repaired last week. 2 of the 4 tires will need to be replaced. Also, the rear seal between the engine and the transmission has a small leak. Also, there is a small star in the windscreen, that has been filled. Gas tank leaks if it is overfilled. Apologies for not posting this in my earlier description. Please send a mechanic to inspect it if you are interested. I dont want anyone surprised by something I may have overlooked. Cheers
