Three owners. Very good paint in original Ruby Red. Tan leather interior. Original hood, deck lid and doors. Recent tune-up. Well documented with original owners manual, service book and CofA. Body, Paint and Trim In storage for many years by it's first owner, the body remains in good condition with no evidence of prior accident damage. The battery box, longitudinals and front closing panels are solid with no rust. The floors are rust free, except for a small area of minor rust in the rear floor behind the driver seat. The trunk lid, engine lid and doors are the originals and are each stamped with the last two digits of the chassis number. Panel gaps overall are good to very good. The body is free of door dings or dents. One of the key improvements introduced with the T6 body style was the exterior fuel filler door. So no need to open the trunk lid everytime you're at the gas station to access the gas tank, as is the case with the earlier T5 body style. All the trim parts are present and in good to excellent condition. All exterior lights are the originals. Front and rear light lenses show no cracks. The glass is all original with no chips or scrapes. All exterior chrome parts still shine up well. All weatherstripping is present and in good condition. The attractive and original color Ruby Red paint (color code #6202) is in excellent condition with very nice shine and only a couple of minor blemishes. Below is a video and a slideshow of photos. Interior The interior was restored some years ago with a change from the original Black leatherette to a Tan leather. The dashpad, door panels, rear panels, rear seats, carpet and headliner are all good condition. The gauges, switches and knobs on the face of the dash are all in fair to good original condition. The original steering wheel and sunvisors are present and are in good condition. Below is a slideshow of photos. Electricals Headlights (low and high beams), tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, license plate lights and windshield wipers are functional. The horn is not functional. The starter and generator are functioning fine. Speedometer, tachometer, oil temp and fuel gauges are functional. Oil pressure and generator lights are functional. The odometer is functional and currently reads 51,124 miles, which is stated to be the original mileage by the previous (third) owner. The current title records the mileage at 50,715 on 4/21/09 and the mileage is stated as the actual mileage. The battery is in good condition. Below is a slideshow of photos. Engine and Transmission The original 1600cc engine ( number 608717) runs excellent with a recent full tuneup completed. The original Zenith carburetors are installed and have been rebuilt recently. The engine starts on the first turn of the key and once running it idles and accelerates smoothly with excellent power. Most of the engine components are the originals and the original cardboard engine compartment lining is still present. These support the low mileage claim for this 356. Recent engine related repairs are as follows: @ 50,773 mile - ran compression check (all cylinders measured a healthy 130psi), changed engine and transmission oil, installed new axle boots, replaced ignition wires, cleaned plugs, cleaned carb jets, adjusted carbs The original 741 transmission (number 56037) is installed and shifts smoothly into every gear with no grinding or unusual noises. The ride is comfortable with no unusual noises. Koni shocks are installed at each corner and are in very good condition. 5.5" chrome wheels and baby moon hubcaps are installed. Three of the four wheels have some surface rust in their inner lips. One wheel and all hubcaps are in very good condition. 165/60R15 Pirelli P6 tires are installed, but are older tires. Four new tires will be included. The brakes are functioning excellent with a new master cylinder, hoses and rebuilt wheel cylinders installed in 2009.
