Introducing the Ford Ranchero. You are viewing and bidding on a 1965 Ford Ranchero with 57,360 miles showing on odometer. Vehltor is assisting the present owner in finding a new home, where the legacy of the original car-truck (Ford Ranchero) will live on. While researching our Ford Ranchero we found Dearborn classics web site and learned plenty of cool things about the Ford Ranchero! Produced by the Ford motor company from 1957 through 1979 this vehicle was the first of its kind. Popularity soared for this versatile and low cost dual purpose peppy and pretty vehicle. The BODY Hard to find a Ranchero in this overall exceptional condition. Walking around this 1965 Ranchero you will notice the chrome and badges are in great shape, Magnum 500 wheels with raised letter tires, original gas cap plus a spare locking gas cap, original emblems all around, smooth working tailgate and a very nice job was done on the on bed liner. Floor pans and undercarriage is solid. This is in great shape. This Ranchero has been painted in Ford Midnight Blue. There is plenty of shine left in this paint. Rear air shocks are a smooth addition! There is a spare tire mounted behind drivers seat and is complete with its vinyl cover. These early Rancheros were considered an economy hauler. YOU WILL BE SO PROUD 57,361 miles showing, it almost looks as if it could be actual miles. This car-truck is so exciting to be around. Look how clean the dash, trim, and gauges look. This baby is in excellent condition from the inside out. The POWERTRAIN She starts right up, has just the power you would expect from a 289 V8 and sounds and runs great. The engine is dressed up just a little with chrome Ford Racing valve covers. Still making the rounds at antique car shows she is still a head turner! Super Clean! A lot of care has gone into this 1965 Ranchero and it shows. We love this old Ford! Another added benefit is a locking gas cap that the owner keeps stashed inside the car to swap out with the original to ensure that it stays with the car. Every collector knows how hard parts are to come by! Additions include air conditioning, and also the heated leather power seats. The INTERIOR The interior is so, so comfortable. Plush, so adjustable. Honda Accord quality and comfort. Warms you up too with the heated seats in cooler climates. There are loads of upgrades in this little Ranchero. Starting with ice cold air conditioning, tinted windows, and heated power leather bucket seats that fit beautifully but were originally from a Honda Accord. These seats are glove soft and in terrific shape. We found them to be quite comfortable! The speedometer, odometer, fuel and temperature gauges are fully operational. There are two toggle switches on the console that are additions to the original equipment. The power for the seats comes through one toggle switch and the windshield wipers are powered off the other toggle. The steering wheel has come out of an old Ford Mustang of the same decade. All glass is in good shape as well as window and door moldings. Blue carpeting, with gray floor mats and seats. The accessory switches are right up to par with the rest of the interior. The sound equipment in this Ranchero is an original AM radio, or if you prefer, the rumble of the 289 V8 engine coming through dual pipes. Music to your ears. No jack. Dash, instrumentation, carpets, headliner, and door panels are all in excellent condition. All gauges are in working order. Even the door step plates are in exceptional condition. The photo close up of the passenger side rear reveals a small amount of bubbling in front of the rear wheel well. There is some scratching on the hood and roof. These scratches are light and not down to the metal. A partial can of Deltron 2000 with color code comes with the Ranchero for small touch ups. We do not see any further negatives on this fine old 1965 Ford Ranchero. The title shows Blue color the vehicle has been a restoration, part of which was exterior painted in original Midnight Blue (OEM Code H, M30J1544). This classic restoration is 95% completed. Mechanically: She runs so sweet (and powerful with the 289 V8), air conditioning blows ice cold. The owner states that the engine had a minor rebuild at 30,000 miles showing on odometer, driven only 3,000 miles since then. The owner has kept under the hood original.
