Overview Feast your eyes on this burgundy beauty!!! This gorgeous 1994 Corvette is in top-notch shape for a 17 year old car with less than 104,000 original miles (that’s less than 6,200 miles per year). I purchased the car in 2001 from a Federal Express pilot here in Memphis, TN. The pilot had taken meticulous care of this car and had purchased a new Corvette for himself. The pilot had this car in covered storage when I bought it from him. I paid a premium for the car at the time because it was in such incredible shape and this pilot didn’t need the money, so he wasn’t willing to negotiate. He didn’t care what the blue book value was and I guess at the end of the day, I didn’t either. For the last 10 years, this car has spent most of its life as a secondary car to me. I have too many cars now and this one just has to go. I have been paying $175 per month for a storage unit that I really don’t need except to keep the Corvette garaged. The cover comes with the car! I am selling this car at “No Reserve” and it will sell to the highest bidder no matter what. The last man standing gets it… unless you’re outbid by a woman! I would guess this car to be worth between $10,000.00 and $14,000.00 but I am going to let you decide. The Kelley Blue Book suggested retail value appears to be $11,780 but again, I am letting you decide the value. I am sure I probably did not keep every receipt for everything, but I have most of the receipts documenting routine repairs and upkeep including the $1,165.00 I paid for the stereo and installation… see below. This Corvette has gorgeous original paint. Let me repeat that… this Corvette has gorgeous original paint! This car has a very nice interior. I have recently had the seats professionally redone and everything matches the original colors. This car has always been garaged and often had a cover on it. This car has never been wrecked. This car has always been owned by a non-smoker and has never been smoked in. This car has an 8 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Everything regarding the motor and its major components are all original to the car. This car’s body is in near immaculate shape. This car’s frame is straight. This car has always had the highest 93 octane high performance gas put in it. This car has always had the correct highest grade synthetic oil put in it. This car starts right up. This car runs strong and does not miss. This car blows cold, cold air from the air conditioner. This car idles properly. This car has everything working like it should including driver’s power lumbar support seat, front and rear defrost, power windows, power locks, power outside mirrors, adjustable tilt steering wheel, air bags, cruise control, fog lights, a Pioneer AM/FM radio with CD player, a power automatic antenna, and lift-off glass targa top. Naturally, for all you purists out there, I have the original stereo system that came with the car and it will be included with this sale (apparently, this is a pretty rare item as I cannot find any listed on eBay at the time of the writing but I did find one for sale for $550.00 on the internet). I have included a pic of the original stereo. This car has sport bucket seats, floor mats and aluminum wheels. I am including a keyless remote control but I have not used it because I thought it was a little bulky for me... it is not currently working – it could be the battery, it could be a programming issue, or it could be me. I think a GM dealership could get it figured out if you want to go that route. Also, under the steering column, the previous owner had a professionally installed anti-theft kill-switch device which works great… just park the car, put the key in your pocket and this ride is going nowhere! As a bonus, this car comes with a 2nd top… it will be delivered with a C4 Fox Rain Coat top valued at about $400.00. I personally love this light-weight top!!! Check it out on the internet. This light-weight top was invented for people who love to cruise around with their heavy targa top off, but might need to put a roof on the car in case they park it in a mall parking lot or possibly get caught in the rain. You have to practice with it a couple of times before you get pretty fast with it. But once you get the hang of it, you’ll keep it in the car for most of the summer and then put the glass top on during the winter. Again, this car will be delivered with the light-weight top in place so you can check it out yourself and make your own mental notes when taking it off. The glass top will be in its natural resting place in the back but I have always kept it in the garage when the light-weight was in use. There’s just no need to cart the glass top around… it can only get stolen. It’s amazing how well this light-weight top works! The Chevrolet Corvette is a uniquely American phenomenon. Start talking about Corvettes and someone overhearing the conversation will likely join in with their own stories and information. If you run across a real car enthusiast that has not yet owned a Corvette, he will tell you he either plans on buying one soon, knows someone who has one for sale, or has a family member restoring a classic. They are as American as apple pie! The Corvette is one of the few dream machines in American engineering that has truly stood the test of time. This car has historically meant more to it owners than just speed, performance and dependability. This car screams “SEXY” with its sleek low-slung body gripping the roads with the greatest of ease. The Corvette’s levels of acceleration, cornering, braking, and top speed are simply beyond the comprehension and realm of most drivers’ experiences. The car honestly takes a highly skilled driver in a test track environment to search the limits of its capabilities. With the Corvette, simply stay on that gas for just a few seconds and you’ll find yourself going fast… very, very fast! On the test track, the Corvette holds its own with the world’s best. Even for those long familiar with the car’s capabilities, the Corvette’s ability to accelerate, go around corners, and even stop, is completely awe-inspiring. I totally understand this kind of all-out capability has little relevance for daily driving, but it certainly promises a huge reserve that the skillful driver can utilize to avoid accidents or danger. Even at average day legal speeds, superior cornering and handling gives the Corvette the ability to steer clear of harm’s way. And a better braking system might make the difference in helping avoid a potentially dangerous situation. In closing, with all this high-performance capability, the Corvette’s ride is surprisingly comfortable, and particularly on smooth roads and highways. Some drivers accustomed to big family sedans or SUVs might find the quality of the ride slightly harsh. But it’s actually quite good in the context of the car’s performance level. Only on the really rough surfaces, poorly maintained city streets or rugged country roads does the ride start becoming objectionable.
