- 2006 Shelby GT-H Mustang Coupe - Carroll Shelby modified Mustang GT available through Hertz at select locations between mid-2006 and mid-2007. - Only 500 coupes were produced, all black with gold stripes, a Shelby color combination only available on Hertz Mustangs. - This is # 286 of 500, rented out of San Diego. - It is the 286th “Next Generation” Shelby Mustang built out of the approximately 30,000 Shelbys produced to date. - 28,6xx miles, garage kept and show queen since purchasing from Hertz in Oct 2007 with 23,500 miles - Black Leather Interior, Power Locks, Power Windows, A/C, Power Seat, SHAKER 500 SOUND SYSTEM, 6 CD in dash changer, #286 serial- number ID badge on the dash (plus a Shelby #286 ID plate under the hood) - Car is equipped with Ford Racing Performance Group’s Power Pack (FR1) which added 25-horsepower to the 300-horse Mustang GT 4.6L V-8/Five-speed automatic transmission powertrain and an increase of 10 lb.-ft. of torque. The package includes Ford Racing’s 90mm Cold Air kit, the Muffler Kit, a new X-pipe similar to the one used on the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang, a performance calibration and a cat-back performance exhaust for that throaty sound that makes this car unmistakably a Shelby Mustang GT-H. - Car also is equipped with Ford Racing Handling Pack (FR3), including special-tuned dampers inspired from the FR500C, stiffened lowering springs that drop the ride height about 1.5 inches, and anti-roll bars. - Interior in excellent/outstanding condition - Exterior has a few minor scratches and a small ding near the gas cap consistent with usage. Center stripes replaced, lower panel stripes are in excellent condition. Elected to continue center stripes onto chin spoiler (see photo) which can be easily removed - Car is listed in the Shelby registry - Sale includes: - All original Hertz and Shelby documentation - Carroll Shelby autographed 1:18th GT-H diecast with #286 included in autograph by Carroll, includes COA (very, very rare for Shelby to add car #s to autograph) - Carroll Shelby autographed GT-H art poster with #286 included in Carroll’s autograph with COA (again very, very rare for Shelby to add car #s to autograph) - New, in the box hard-to find unused Hertz Sirius Satellite Radio control head (in my opinion only thing interior needs to be perfect!) -2’ x 4’ #286 under hood Shelby ID Vin Plate Banner - Car show sign board - Automotive publications that included reviews on the then “just released” 2006 GT-H (Car and Driver, Motor Trend, hard to find internal Hertz publication Hertz World, etc) - I will send any serious buyer more photos and info as requested. On Jul-18-10 at 06:12:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Tires are Kumho Ecsta 245s which offer a much more aggresive square profile than the 235 Pirellis (IMHO) that came on the car and put more rubber on the ground, brake pads were upgraded to Hawk HPS. Per request, added a couple pictures that show odometer, ding by gas cap where cap was overextended by a renter and two very minor bumper blemishs, one forward left and one rear left.
