Vehicle Detail

1976 Chevrolet Corvette lower mile car with rare 4 speed that recieved a full restoration inside and out back to original. Hello everyone, especially Corvette fans, this is an auction for one extemly nice, restored back to original 1976 Corvette Stingray. This is a complete matching #'s drivetrain Corvette from the air cleaner to the rear. Now before I get to far into the description I want to mention that there are over 75 full page pictures that show every inch of this car. Also there is a 10 minute walk around video of the car starting and running so you can get a real feel for how nice this car really is. I also wanted to mention my contact tel # so that if anyone has ANY questions or wants to ask anything at all or inquire about a buy it now price, that can be added to the auction, to end the auction early you can just pick up the phone and call me directly. My tel # is 570-875-7109. In 1976 Chevrolet made 46,558 Corvettes. Out of all of them only 9933 were 4 speeds and the rest were automatics. Also in 1976 out of the 46,558 Corvette made only 3,389 were painted this color which is "bright Yellow" Just a little trivia to show you that is not the average 76 Corvette. Now this Corvette recieved a interior and exterior facelift in 2006 and was used very little since then. Now the drivetrian was not taken out of the car and has not been touched since it was new, it did not and does not need to be. The drivetrian is very clean for it's age and starts right up and runs with no issues as you can see in the video. If something needed to be changed it would have been. The engine is very dry and has no major leaks to speak of at all. The car was well taken care of since new and was only driven 52,000 miles or so since new but was not perfect so this is why the car got redone. The owner of this car wanted a pristine Corvette to drive and wanted to make the car new as for appearence so he decided to repaint the entire car the original color, which is "Bright Yellow" paint code 56. he also decided to redo the entire interior, yes the entire interior, which was code 642 which was the deluxe "Buckskin" leather interior package. The car came with the following major options from new: L48 engine, 4 speed, deluxe leather "Buckskin" interior, "Bright Yellow" paint, Air conditioning, power steering, 4 wheel power disk brakes, T-tops, power windows, am/fm radio, tilt/telescopic steering wheel. Here is a breakdown of what was done to the car and what is new. Complete strip and full repaint, included door/hood jams. Complete repainting of all 4 wheels. As for parts the list is all new parts that were used: all 4 tires, 4 calipers and brake pads/parts, weatherstripping, full exhaust from manifolds to tips, deluxe door panels and trim hardware, center console, dash, gauge area, carpet front and rear compartment, seats fully redone with new leather covers and seat foams, shifter boot, glass T-Tops( which cost $1100 alone), 10 disk CD changer with custom Corvette specialty rear compartment speakers and front speakers, hood and rear stainless trim, door handles interior and exterior, antenna, side marker lights, rear tailights set of 4, front parking lights, exteior trim and emblems all around, outside mirrors and several misc interior trim pieces. I am sure I am forgetting many items as well. You get the idea everythin that needed to be changed to get it to be all new again was... After all the smoke cleared and the car was totally done the owner had $20,000 into the restoration. we are offering this car for sale alot less than that. The reserve price is very reasonable and very fair. Now since the car was redone it was not driven very much since them it always sits in the garage with the cover over it and started during the winter months and then taken out on limited occasions during the summer. The owner has 2 vetts and he does not have the time to enjoy both so he decided to sell the one he used the least and this is why he is selling. everything works in the car with the only exception of the factory clock. The woner did not care to rebuild it. The kit cost about $70 or so and is very easy to rebuild. I have done 5 myself over the years. Also the A/C will need to be recharged. The system work 100% but the gas has leaked out over the years from sitting and needs to be recharged to be Ice cold. This would cost about $100 to have a shop do it. I like to be 100% hoest and upfront... Now lets get to the 10 minute walk around video of the car. All you have to do is click on the arrow. I hope everyone enjoyed the video and it gives you a real idea of how nice this Corvette really is and how much work went into it to get it back to near new condition. Now lets get to the 75+ full page pictures... as you can see in the last pictures there are some of when the car was getting it's full repaint before the interior work started. As for the paint on the car now, it is near perfect with no rock chips to speak of and the paint is very glossy and smooth to the touch with no orange peel or fisheye or anything like that. The time was taken to do it right. Also the pinstripes on the car are hand painted on and will last for a very long time... Now lets get to the pictures... During restoration/Paint Finished product after 6 months This car is turn key and ready to drive where ever you would like to go. This is a no excuse car ready to enjoy for years and years to come. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email or better yet call me at 570-875-7109. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. The Corvette comes with a clear title in hand and is sold as is. If anyone wants to come and inspect the car, you are more than welcome to come and look over the entire car or have someone else inspect it for you if you can't come. Just please call me to make an appointment. The car is being sold for a very reasonable price and is well worth the reserve price so again feel free to call to ask anything. I take pride in listing anything here on Ebay. I always give a realistic and honest description. I like the buyers to be happy with what they purchase. This is why I put as many pictures as I can. I have been getting alot of calls on the car asking about what I am looking to get for the car and a buy it now. Now my reserve is a little bit lower than the buy it now, but not much. If anyone has any questions please feel free to call me at 570-875-7109 Thanks.
