If you are looking for a vintage 59 El Camino that you can drive while you restore, this just might be the one for you. 1959 El Caminos are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This car is being relisted due to a non-paying bidder. If you do not intend on paying for the car, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not bid. This car turns more heads and receives more attention than any other hot rod or muscle car I’ve ever owned (and I’ve owned a bunch). It’s a nice driver-quality car that can either be restored to show quality or driven and enjoyed as is. In addition it is a blast to drive. Originally it is a Gothic Gold car with a white top. I also believe it to be an original 348 car due to the 3/8” fuel-sending unit, which I replaced, and a hood emblem that came with the car when I purchased it (St. Louis – two years ago). Features include: -Re-built 350 Chevy motor with Edelbrock RPM performer manifold and carb. -Hooker Super Comp headers and complete custom 2 ½” exhaust with custom side exits. -Recently rebuilt Muncie 4-speed (M-20) with new clutch and Hurst shifter. -Complete new 4 wheel disk brake system with dual master cylinder, drilled and slotted rotors, and all new lines and hoses. -Re-built front suspension with 2” drop spindles, new ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, and polyurethane bushings. -Professionally cleaned and sealed fuel tank that was coated with POR 15 and new 3/8” fuel sending unit. -Re-built drive shaft with new heavy duty U-joints, balanced, and new center support bearing. -Chevy rally rims with center spinner caps that have 255/60/15 rear tires and 165/SR/15 front tires. -Custom Autosound USA-1 stereo system. -Interior has been redone and is in good condition as pictured.
