1972 MERCEDES BENZ 220DNO RESERVENO RUST If you are looking for an economical, long lasting, and unique car, which can also be a project, then this is the car for you. This 72 220d has all of that and some more. The four cylinder diesel engine combined with the rare four speed transmission means that you will not be spending an arm and a leg at the gas pump. This bad boy is all original and in great shape. The navy blue paint on it is original and shiny, but does show some age. The original BECKER radio and speakers work fine. The chrome and rubber is in great shape. MOST OF THE RUBBER ON THE CAR IS NEW. Tires seem to have less then 2000 miles on them. The front brake pads have been changed and the rear drums inspected. There has also been two new sets of tie rods installed on the car. I was told that the millage on the car is original from the previous owners, I was also told that I would be the third owner. But the millage may have rolled over once, but mechanically it does not seem to have. OH AND DID I MENTION NO RUST. CA REGISTRATION IS ON NON OP. The previous owners changed the starter, battery, and alternator. NEW GLOW PLUGS AND A FRESH TUNE UP!! This is a project car so there is a few problem that need to be addressed. The first being that the vehicle needs to an alignment, its drivable but i would not recommend it until it is properly aligned. The interior, BUT ONLY the carpets, rear seat, and head liner, need to be replaced. The front two seats are in great shape, and the door panels are in good shape as well. The dash has some cracks but nothing major. The passenger side rear window needs to be fixed as well, ITS STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. The rear driver side quarter panel needs to be painted, looks like someone backed into it. It is fixed just needs to be painted. And the rear marker light also needs to be replaced. The AIR CONDITIONING needs to be installed, the air conditioning pump is in the trunk, i really do not know if it is working or not. THESE CARS CAN GO FOR OVER 5000 $$ IF ALL PROBLEMS LISTED ABOVE ARE ADDRESSED. This car comes with a CALIFORNIA PINK SLIP and the ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL, which is in good condition.
