For auction is a 1970 Porsche 911T Targa. It was purchased a few months ago with the intention of a full restoration. A baby has gotten into the middle of those plans, so instead of letting it sit for another 10 years it is up for auction. Recent History 2010 - Present:A few months ago this car moved into my barn. It was towed in, all four wheels were free and it could be steered into place. The engine can be turned by hand, I did not attempt to start the vehicle. It seemed like an exciting project that could be handled while balancing a new baby (before he was born). Reality has set in and this project no longer makes sense. Past History 1994 - 2010:Vehicle was purchased as a 16 year olds first car. The intention was to fix the body rust and use the vehicle as a daily driver. It was driven home, the motor was removed and a new clutch was installed. The motor was reinstalled, but it failed to start. The 16 year old lost interest and his father refused to work alone. It sat in his heated garage for the next 16 years. Long Past History 1970 - 1994:Unknown. Vehicle Specifics:I have a clean title for a 1970 Porsche 911 bearing VIN 9110110156. It is a black 911T with a Targa top. There is rust on the vehicle under body. Some of it can be seen clearly in the photographs. It has not run since 1994, but the engine will turn with a wrench. It has the 2.2L engine with Zenith Solex carbs and 5 speed manual transmission. It has rear defroster in the glass rear window which is included. The vehicle also includes a new tune-up kit from Pelican Parts, new Targa top seal, and spare tire with matching rim. Odometer reads 10982, however actual mileage is unknown.
