1987 BMW 635csi Excellent Condition I am selling my 1987 BMW 635csi. This is a car that I intended to keep, and has been a father and son project. but health reasons are forcing me to sell it. Here are the details as best I can describe. This is a great car. It looks and drives great, and is the standard that all other BMW's were built upon. This it the ultimate BMW classic. People stop me and ask about it whenever I take it out. I have updated the look just a bit. So I hope you like it. Its the right color RED! Overview: I believe we are the third owner of the car. The car was in very good condition when I purchased it a few years ago so I looked at this as a keeper. Overall I would consider the car a very high level daily driver. it is not a show car, but can be made into one with just a little effort if that is the direction you want. It is all there as you will see in the discription. The car just passed the complete NJ MV inspection which included the idle and high RPM emissions test and it passed. It has a NJ two year inspection on it that is good till 2012. (see picture) Body: The body is in overall very good condition. All panels look very good There was some minor rust removed from the two rear quarter panels. It was repaired, and both rear quarter panels have fresh paint. I added the rear spoiler which fits perfect. It can be removed. This is the type that does not put holes in the trunk. It has the working third brake light. This is fresh paint as well. I also added the rear bumper aero panels from the 1989 BMW 635csi. This gives the car a great look. It has the front spoiler with fog lights and bumper guards that are fresh paint as well. New pin stripe was put on. All windows are perfect no scratches. Chrome is excellent. as is all molding. Right rear light was repaired. But you may wish to replace it as well as the two rear light bezels. Interior: The interior is overall in very good to excellent condition. Rugs are excellent as are seats. Minor repair made to passenger seat. Dash has one small crack. There is a replacement instrument cluster which works great, so the mileage shown does not reflect the actual miles, the motor vehicle report does. Window switches and sun roof switches were replaced and electrics are working fine including all windows, sun roof, mirrors, radio, horn etc. There is a new Pioneer 200 watt stereo in place with CD player. It has the anti theft removable faceplate. New speakers. BMW floor mats in excellent condition included. AC Blows cold. Engine and Trans: Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. Very strong engine and smooth shifting trans and rear. I have done some work to the engine. I recently spent over $2000 to have new fuel injectors installed, new platinum spark plugs, new ignition wires as well as a new distributor cap and rotor. Oil was just changed as well as filters. Engine has been cleaned and wires re taped where needed. It has a new muffler as well. You will eventually need a new center exhaust section. I was going to replace it with a free flow now that it passed inspection. Wheels ,Brakes and Tires. The wheels and tires are in excellent condition. 4 new TRX tires were put on by previous owner when I got the car. I paid him over $1200 for them. See picture. These are the 15 inch. Brakes were just checked and serviced. They are like new with over 90% life left on them. Shocks are fine and there are no noises at all when you drive. Note: Car is sold AS IS Were is.
