Vehicle Detail

After much thought, I've finally decided to sell my beloved Big Ruckus. These rare 250cc scooters (Well, some argue they are not technically scooters since there is no step-through... They are a strange bike, (as you will see) are much loved by their owners, and increasingly hard to find. Honda only imported them to the US for two years, estimates among aficionados place the total number sold in the US at only around 1,500. It's a great little bike, with no mechanical issues, but I recently purchased an old CB750, and the ruck just hasn't gotten the use she deserves since then. I've ridden the BR on the freeway infrequently, although the previous owner claimed to have ridden over the bay bridge on it on a regular basis. I myself have taken it from San Francisco to Santa Cruz and Monterey, and it will cruise at 75mph comfortably. It's also great on gas, tending to get almost 70 MPG in CITY driving All the info you could ever want about these bikes is here: http://totalruckus.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=3&sid=b4468809eeb55a6151ea53361b821332 This sale include a copy of the Helm Service manual for the bike. A $60+ comprehensive guide to pretty much everything about maintaining or repairing it, from changing a tire to a complete engine disassemble. The bike has only 14,500 miles on it and has always had regular maintenance, with major scheduled services being done at golden gate cycles. It has been a daily commuter for both of it's owners, so as might be expected, there is some light wear on the paint in places like the foot board, passenger "handles" and around tie-down points. In addition, the right side brake lever is slightly bent - I believe someone tried to steal it one night by lifting it into a truck, and dropped it in the process. The bent lever and some missing paint on the foot board is all the damage it sustained (this happened about 2,000 miles ago and it hasn't had any trouble) I have taken close-up pictures of the spots with wear and posted them below. You'll probably also notice in the photos I added some hollow rubber spikes onto the front fender and footboards. I did this around halloween last year, but received so many compliments on them I just left them. They're held on only with double sided tape and will be pretty painless to remove if the buyer so wishes. Although I have described the bike to the best of my ability this, like all private auto sales in California, is an as-is sale. I will be happy to make arrangements for interested parties can come by and check out the bike in San Francisco, CA before bidding. The winning bidder must send a deposit of $500 to me within 3 days of the auctions end. Pick-up of the bike must be within 3 weeks. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
