This auction is also advertised locally. So, I reserve the right to end the auction early if there have been no bids. So, let's try this again. You will not find another bike this rare, with this low of mileage, in this good of condition, that runs as well as this one for this price. There are a few minor things that need to be done to make it perfect. Do not email me unless you have a question about the bike. Don't even bother with your stupid low ball offers. I am desperate to sell but not that desperate.... yet. I purchased this bike about a year ago with 13,300 miles. It was in good condition and ran fine but it had not been properly maintained. I had to put nearly $1000 into maintenance. So, now the bike runs fantastic and it is in mostly excellent condition. This is what was done at 13,500 miles: Valve AdjustmentCarbs Cleaned and Sync'd Radiator Flush/FillNew Brake Pads Front and RearAir Filter Changed (K&N)Spark Plug Change (upgraded to Irridium)Oil Change The bike now has just over 15,000 miles. I have had very little time to ride it. I can not afford to keep it. I am unemployed and am trying to care for my daughter with one income. We need the money to pay for some maintenance for my wife's car so she can get to work without worry. I have a picture of the bike with the Clubman bars and two videos of the bike that I can link you to if you are interested. One video is of the bike being started after two weeks of sitting. The other video is a walk around of the bike. Items that need to be addressed: Recently I put some new Emgo Reverse Cone Shorty Mufflers on the bike. Normally, those pipes are extremely loud. I did some major work to the insides to quiet them down dramatically. The pipes were repacked with some high quality muffler packing and I installed an 8" Baffle. The bike sounds amazing now. The one down side to these are the muffler adapters. The adapters that came with the bike were worthless. So, I had a machine shop make some for me. The adapters are very tight. Now, I can't get them back any further (or take them off). So, the pipes are on really well but they are not in the right spot. So, it just looks a little strange but they are very secure. If you had some good tools, you could probably move the adapters to their proper position. I still have the pipes that were on the bike when I purchased it. Unfortunatlely, they are not the stock exhaust. A previous owner had 'Thunderbird Pea Shooter' exhaust installed which just looks wrong on the Adventurer. I will include those with the bike if you would like them. They are both scratched up a bit from the bike previously being dropped. Also, the right side has some blueing from the carbs not being taken care of. Next up are the front turn signals. I have the originals and the left signal is in good condition. The right side is in decent condition but when I let someone actually sit on my bike and take off on it, the idiot dropped it. There is a small scratch on the turn signal but the threaded part of the signal snapped off. I don't know much about this stuff but maybe it could be soldered or welded? Anyway, the signals that I put on the bike work ok but for some reason, they flash twice as fast. Next are the handlebars. The stock bars that came with the bike were bent a bit. So, I replaced them. I tried Clubman bars first and they worked great. Unfortunately, unless you put rear sets on as well, it becomes very uncomfortable for your legs. So, I ordered some 'LTD' handlebars and tried to install those. Unfortunately, the length of bar where you put on the grips and components is too short. The throttle side works/looks ok but the left side isn't quite right. The clutch/mirror is slightly on the bend, so the clutch pull is a bit different (instead of pulling straight back to the grip it comes up a bit higher). Not bad but not right. You can have the stock and clubman handlebars if you'd like. Last are the tires. The front is fine. The rear has some tread but its getting down there. You can see on the video for yourself. Misc. Stuff.... Some of the idiot lights don't work. The neutral light never comes on. The flashers sometimes work. The oil and temp lights work. The bike seems to average about 40 mpg. Its a 13 year old bike, so it does have some scratches here and there but nothing serious. The bike is beautiful. I will also be including the Haynes Manual with your purchase. One final note. I am unavailable on Saturdays. You can only pick up the bike Sunday through Friday. Hopefully, I covered everything. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
