Hello interested buyers, I am selling my 1987 535i with only 125,300 original documented miles. This BMW is the E28 series and has been very well maintained by the original owner and myself. I have all service records dating back to the purchase of the vehicle at Harloff BMW in Encinitas, California including the original motor vehicle purchase contract and security agreement. It sold new for $35,000 tax and license. I am the second owner and when I bought this beauty in May, 2008, it only had 113,XX miles on it. The original owner said it was kept in the garage for its entire life except for the last year he owned it. The condition of this car is impressive; I love this car but I need the money more. A new transmission was installed at 113,429 miles by BMW of Encinitas, formerly Harloff BMW. The two year unlimited mileage warranty expired last month, but it still drives and shifts like new. I bought a Carfax for $35 on this vehicle and checked the history myself, everything checks out, mileage, transmission, smog, no accidents, service, etc. All records belong to vehicle and will be given to the new owner. The condition of this car is exceptional for any car and especially for its age. The paint is a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. The roof and deck lid could be painted in the next 3 years or so due to the clear-coat starting to fade. The passenger side of the car just below the windows has drip mark residue from a chemical used to clean the windows. The body is a 9 out of 10 with only four minor dings. The interior is a 9 out of 10 and in excellent condition with soft black non-cracked leather throughout. The drivers side seat does have a small tear in the lower cushion (see picture). The brakes are perfect with four newer rotors and pads along with the passenger side caliper. The master cylinder and starter were recently replaced. The wheels are 16inch Borbet and are in good condition with recently purchased Barum Bravuris BSW tires from Discount Tire. They still have 28,000 miles left on their 40,000 mile warranty. This is one of the best E28 BMW's I have ever seen. The color Delphin metalic (Dark silvery gray) in combination with the black interior is very rich and striking. The look and feel of this car is classic and with the extremely robust M30 engine (inline six) this is a car that will be desired forever. This car is an investment and with proper care and maintenance will appreciate indefinitely.
