1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This is a must-have land cruiser. This is possibly one of the cleanest LC's you'll find on the market today. It's in impeccable shape - inside and out. Good luck! General Description: Beautiful restoration. This LC has absolutely ZERO rust! You can see a few restoration photos at: http://www.fototime.com/users/dan_north@msn.com/1976%20Blue%20%22Smurf%22 The engine is in fabulous shape. It starts right up and has a lot of power. All SMOG equipment is on the vehicle so you California buyers are in luck! The tranny and transfer case are in great shape. Standard 4-speed tranny. NO OIL LEAKS. The windshield wiper fluid even works on this vehicle. All electrical and guages are functional. All door seals have been replaced. The cruiser has both the front and rear bed rubber mat. The seats have been upholstered. They have been recovered in cloth and not the original vinyl. However, for around $500 you can get the front and rear jump seats recovered in vinyl if you want. You can also see by the photos the rear bed has a blue mat on top of the rubber mat. This is just a piece of carpet. The original head liner is in the vehicle. It's a bit saggy in places but I decided to leave it rather than replace it. It has a couple years of life left. The hard top and doors are rust free and in excellent shape. The rear corners of the hard top don't have rust. The hard top is straight and bolts down straight. The cruiser was painted in 1997! It is obvious that this cruiser was painted in pieces. All windows were taken out for paint an reassembled. The paint and body work are not perfect but this cruiser is an eye catcher and looks fabulous!! This FJ has only been driven a handfull of times since it was painted.See the pictures and see the shine in the paint. It looks great except the chip on the passenger rear wheel well - I posted a picture. The cruiser has 16" rims and the tires will need to be replaced at the end of the summer. This cruiser drives straight, has excellent steering (no slop), brakes work awesome and the emergency brake is in working order. All windows, latches, handles are in working order. Does not burn oil or leak oil. The undercarriage is a little dirty but rust free. The cruiser has an 8,000 lb Warn winch in working order. It also has a tow bar that comes with the vehicle. Summary: In summary, this vehicle is in excellent shape - inside and out. I would feel very comfortable telling someone they could drive it from west coast to the east coast. Everything on this crusier is tight. It drives well and looks beautiful. I've had my hands on several cruisers over the years and this is the one I've considered keeping. Do yourself a favor and don't let this one pass you buy. Not Working: If you'll notice the doors have cut outs for speakers and speaker covers. However, there aren't speakers in the doors! The radio works intermittently and is only putting sound to the original factory speaker tucked up under the dash. The next owner would need to install door speakers if he/she wanted them. This cruiser does not have AC or power steering. Buying Details: Please do not bid if you don't intend to follow through with this purchase! The vehicle is sold as-is.
