Item is a fairly clean and rustfree project car. A gift from my 92 year old neighbor, who took the car apart in the early '90's to refurbish and paint it, and just never got around to doing it. The car has been garage kept for most of that time til about 5 years ago when it was moved to a sideyard of the home til I got it this summer. My experience with the MGB GT is minimal save for some memorable road trips in a college chum's similar car, but this car was driving and in daily use til it was disassembled. I do have experience with car restorations, primarily of German and American cars, and can say that this car is very sound and straight, with excellent underpinnings and pans, and would make a great project builder for somebody with a rusty but complete car, or with a wrecked tub to transfer bits from. This car does come with a near complete interior, bumpers and the front valence, the front grille, spare tire and jack and spanner, but is missing the trim and the lights as seen detailed in the pix. Rust appears to be limited to the lower corners of the doors, with dry rockers and pans being remarkable. Mechanically the motor turns but has not run, and the muffler and gas tank are rusted out and will need replacement before the car can be driven. The title is clean and the car has not been salvaged. There are no evidence or wrecks or trauma to the tub save for the years of storage. Car is offered at NO RESERVE and will sell, so bid away. I can arrange transport at buyer's expense anywhere in USA, but would recommend you check local trucking companies to assure they will take a non running vehicle. I can assist also with container transport for offshore bidders, as we are very close to LA and Long Beach harbors and their numerous shipping companies. Sale is final and will need be paid in total within 3 days. I can provide short term storage for a modest fee.
