Vehicle Detail
I bought this in 2007 off of Ebay with intentions of restoring it. A month or two after I got it I had it painted, except the bed. A couple of months after the paint job I unexpectantly had to have heart surgery. Since the surgery I have not done a thing with it except change oil. All it does is sit in front of my house collecting dust. I decided to sell it because I don't have time and money to restore it. My loss your gain. I will try and tell you everything about the car that I know. I am selling it AS IS so please contact me before you bid if you have any question's. It is equipped with a 350 engine with automatic transmission. According to the person I bought it from the engine was put in in 2006 and I think it came from a junk yard and had 80,000 miles on it. It runs pretty good, except it does smoke and does leak some oil. I think the oil leak is from the valve cover gaskets. It does have air but I never tried it, according to the previous owner it needed freon. As I read the description from when I bought the car it says, the converters, exhaust and brakes were bought from Summit Racing about 6 months before the sale.(2007). There were leaks in the back of the cab from the bed and I had some bodymen seal it when I had it painted. The cab has some water leaks in the front but I don't know where, I did have the windshield resealed. I was told by that there were problems with this style car with water leaks from the outside window grill but I never tried fixing it . I know the floorboards are rusty and will need to be repaired or replaced. .As I said, the car was painted but now I noticed that there is some rust on the drivers side of the car below the door and behind the door. A month ago the speedometer quit working. The only guage that works is the voltmeter. I believe they all work but were not hooked up after they put in the engine. Except for the carpet, the interior is in pretty good shape especially the seat which has no tears. Dash does have a crack. This would be a great car to restore because of the classic design. I reserve the right to end the auction early as a local adv will be placed.
