Vehicle Detail
1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 vin #: 8R93F518131 I am selling this car for my uncle. He is the second owner of the car. He purchased it from a friend of the family back in high school with approximately 35k miles. He drove it through college and residency in phoenix. Eventually he parked in the garage due to needing a bigger vehicle with kids and stuff. He last drove it on a regular basis back in 1994. Since then he has stored it in the garage saving it for one of the kids one day. Well one day as come and the kids are not interested in it. They are fighting over the old grand Cherokee with hundred million miles. I know, I am also wondering where I went wrong also :) . Since the kids are showing no interest in it he has decided to sell it to someone else whom will appreciate it for what it is. I am going to fill in details as the pics progress and if I do not answer your question please write me and I will get the answer for you. The car has not been involved in any major accidents. He said there was one time someone hit the car in the back while parked at a store. When he took it out of storage last week and brought it in to town for me to take pics some idiots broke the driver and passenger door windows so the buyer will have to replace them. The pics are large but I want the potential buyer to see all they can and be informed with their decision on bidding. Also keep in mind this car is almost 100% original...The stereo and speakers were changed but nothing else was customized. Engine and transmission were rebuilt 10k miles ago. Rest is all stock. as you can see the paint will need to be done...The hood is peeling You can see the door trim is coming off. The back windows roll up and down just fine. Once the glass is replaced on the doors they will also roll up and down just fine. Take note of the truck emblem. The brake lights work but the sequential part is not. So they light up but not in a pattern. st c see the little ding on the side...there is also some rust on the back wheel wells you can see the rust on the back side Tires are in great shape...i think they have less than 1000 miles on them The stereo does not work...will need to be replace The ODO shows 58612 but it is 158612. He drove it for about 128000 miles before parking it in the garage take note of the hood liner and the headlights...The headlights are vac open and close...they work just fine. IMPORTANT ENGINE STUFF!!!! The engine was rebuilt 10k miles ago. At the same time he replaced the transmission. The car does run and drive. Since it has been parked for so long I would still go through the whole drive train to make sure all the wires are in good shape and hoses are not rotted out. Also the car does have AC but doesn't work. interior was redone about 20 years ago so may need a face lift On Jul-04-10 at 20:42:59 PDT, seller added the following information: if your screen says "photobucket" put your mouse on it and right click...then select view image and then it will show you the pic On Jul-04-10 at 20:48:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is the one pic which is not showing up on the word photobucket On Jul-09-10 at 12:53:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE LOWERED THE RESERVE PRICE TO $2000 SO IT WILL BE SOLD!!!!!!!
