Here is a 1988 Ford Mustang LX hatchback. Has the 5.0 engine and AOD automatic transmission. The engine was replace about 4 years ago with a later model 5.0 with low miles. The motor runs strong and is mostly stock but has under drive pulleys, cobra intake, hooker headers with 2.5" exhaust and off road h-pipe, and a MSD box. The 88 mustang did not have a mass air flow sensor so with the larger intake it runs a little bit rough at idle almost like it has a vacuum leak. You could install a maf sensor and pcm, or I can include the original intake to fix the problem. The transmission is the AOD and was rebuilt sometime before I bought the car and has never given me any problems. Though the car is original with the AOD it has had a clutch pedal installed so a manual can be added later. The rear end is an 8.8 limited slip with 3.73 gears. The body is in good shape with no rust and the hatch key lock cylinder and antenna have been shaved a filled to give smoother look. The paint has a few minor scratches and chips nothing major for a 22 year old car. The car is still the original Tropical yellow which I hear was a very rare color option that year. For a 22 year old car the interior is in decent shape though it does have some minor flaws. The front seats have been replaced at some point with seats from a 97 mustang. It has some wind noise on the highway, so you may want to install new window runs. The car has aftermarket CD player and has Sirius satellite radio installed. With the antenna gone, the radio stations that can be picked up can be a little limited. The tires are about 3 years old but don't have many miles on them. Overall the car runs and drives good. The only reason I'm selling the car is because I don't drive it much and someone should drive it more. The car is located in Manhattan, Kansas about 2 hours from Kansas City.
