Vehicle Detail
Very nice example of the 1954 Chevrolet for sale, in restored and correct stock condition: 6-volt system throughout vacuum tube radio - restored to perfection original wind-up clock keeps perfect time auxiliary heater with remote fan switch original owner's manual Purchased last year in Albemarle, NC, this North Carolina car was produced in the Baltimore GM plant is in excellent condition and drives beautifully, with the rebuilt original hi-pressure 235 ci engine (0062795T54Z, Tonawanda plant, December 10th, 1953) and complete new 10" clutch. I had the 3-spd rebuilt with several NOS GM shafts/seals/gears by Danny's Transmissions in Greensboro. Original worn parts go with the car in a box for your inspection. Shifts beautifully with zero issues. Rechromed pieces include: front and rear bumper assemblies, door handles and B-pillar escutcheons, taillamp frames and hood ornament. All stainless trim is in very good to good condition - some scuffing on RR door protector - and all door sill plates are repro new. All glass appears to be original and all windows/vents work as they should. Interior was new in 2009, headliner is the original mohair surf green. Upper dash and door reveals are the correct #542 Bermuda Green; lower dash and steering wheel body are correct #541 Surf Green. Tires are 2008 Coker repros of Firestone Deluxe whitewalls; spare tire is an unused new 2009 tire of same style. All rims returned to their correct body color (no black or otherwise wheels on a '54 - 2104!). Previous owner had the car shot in a '50s turquoise but I wanted to return it to its proper scheme: #541 Surf Green with White Roof. This was done using an HVLP no-bake lo-VOC acrylic enamel from Sherwin-Williams, as depicted in the garage picture below. Only two coats have been applied - planning on finishing the project this fall to deepen the gloss and correct a few areas of runs (sanded in picture to show previous turquoise). No body work required and none done during my owner ship. Matching suitcases and oil products are '50s vintage are for display only. Reserve is reasonable and at below-market price for a 210 in this condition. Thanks for looking. Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
