Want to get even more stares and suprised looks than you would in your ORDANARY Model T? We here you go! This car is registered as a 1918, but it was apparently put together from lots of years. It belonged to a local judge who used it as a parade car. He died two years ago, and I am listing it for his wife. The car is actually in great shape! It hasn't been run in several years, but I will have irt running and everything adjusted by the time the new owner picks it up. The owner has several newspaper clippings dating back quite a while. Here is the "history" as best I can tell from her archive. It was made for an Abbott & Costello movie called "Tin Lizzie". I have not yet been able to find a copy of that movie. It was sold to a Mr Dobbins in Huntington Park, Ca, who sold it to Horace Tribou of New Orleans in October 1967. The Judge bougt the car from Mr Tribou in 1991 and kept it in tip top shape. (It also comes complete with several cases of Mardi Gras beads to get you started in the parade spirit!) I found a photo of the car on page 132 of Phillip Van Doren Stern's 1955 book "TIN LIZZIE" Alabama did not issue titles until 1976, so the car will be sold with a bill of sale. We will also supply a tag receipt (Alabama registration), and a copy of the state law governing registration of older vehicles. That should be enough to register the car in any state. The car is located about 30 minutes south of Birmingham, AL. If you would like to personally inspect the vehicle, I can arrange to pick you up at the airport and take you to see and drive the car.
