Up for sale is a gorgeous 1989 Jaguar xj-s! This car has its original paint in near perfect condition. It shines and there are no signs of aging on the paint. It has original top of the line spoked wheels. The interior is in fairly good shape with only a few minor tears in the leather. The wood has minor cracking, but the center facia is in perfect condition. THE BAD NEWS: This car has serious mechanical problems. The engine is suffering serious loss of power and makes a bad clanking noise. I suspect it has dropped a valve and is only running on a fraction of its 12 cylinders. Also, The differential makes a very bad "clanking noise". Lastly, The power steering is out. There must be a broken hose somewhere in the system as it cannot retain any power steering fluid. The previous owner claimed that he had 20,000 dollars into a rebuild of the motor only to have this happen. Frustrated out of his mind, he sold it to us. The previous is all that I know about the car. This would make a great car for an engine conversion or parts car. The car is a treasure trove for parts. It is in no shape currently to be driven home. It runs and can be driven onto a trailer. It is such a beautiful car in such great shape besides the engine and differential. It is priced right for anyone wishing to fix or part the car out!
