Here we have a very nice 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Convertible. I have owned this car since 1987 and have loved every minute of it, but it's time to move on to something else. This is a solid old car. It did have some metal welded in when the body was redone after I bought it. It has held up very well. There is no bubbling, cracking, peeling or anything else. It looks great and is very straight. It has all of the original running gear, including 425 cubic inch 4 barrel engine that was completely rebuilt in 1993. The convertible top is three years old and near perfect condition. It was a high dollar 60 month top with glass back window. The interior could use some attention. It is serviceable as is, but there is some wear and a couple of small rips in the upholstry. The tires are brand new. It has power windows that all work. It has tilt and telescoping steering wheel. It even has a remote trunk release in the glove box. I upgraded the cooling with dual electric fans so you can drive it anywhere without overheating, which can be a problem on these old cars. The color is the original deep dark blue metallic, but with a urethane clear coat for durability and shine. The top and interior are a lighter robins egg blue. The contrast looks very sharp and it attracts lots of attention wherever it goes. And you can go pretty much anywhere in it. It has been quite reliable for an old car. We have had lots of fun over the years cruising the beaches and such places with it. It's a driver, not a show car. (Although it looks better than many of the cars I've seen at shows.)
