Up for Auction today, we have my wife's daily Van. Our family has definitely got our moneys worth from this van. We bought this used with 64,000 miles in 2003. We had a new head gasket installed shortly after the purchase. After the head gasket issue, we never had another issue with this van. I only stuck in it normal maintenance type parts (Tires, Brakes, Wheel Bearing, Tie Rod ends, and Fluid Changes). My wife drives about 35 highway miles (one way) to work. Again, this van has high miles, but they are highway miles. The Good: New tires Fall of 2009, lots of rubber on them. New Battery Winter 2010. Interior is very clean, no rips or tears. Has been very dependable and roomy. Averages around 24-25 mpg highway. A/C still blows cold! The bad: Thermostat is bad (stuck open), and has been for 2 years or so. Absolutely no heat out of the heater this way. Windshield wipers stay in "up" position when turned off (just annoying). Blower fan is either off or on high, no in between. Body is getting rusty (see pics) Transmission seams to sound weird occasionally, especially when cold outside. It sometimes sounds like Turbo Van and shifts extra hard. It's done this for 2-3 years though. Headlights could be brighter. Occasional "Check Engine Light", but we haven't seen it in a while.
