Vehicle Detail
Cool old farm truck - use it around the farm, or for trips to town. Or a good restoration project. It has original 6 cylinder GMC engine that runs good; doesn't smoke; but it does has an exhaust leak at the manifold. It has a newer fuel pump and 1-wire alternator. The transmissions shifts well and doesn't make any strange noises. The clutch seems good. The brakes work OK. It has after market guages on the bottom of the dash, but the original guages are still installed. The amp meter works. It has good oil pressure. The engine runs well, but has a really small crack on the side of the block that seeps a tiny bit of antifreeze. I think you could drain it, clean it and smear JB Weld into it, and it would be OK. The gas filler tube hose needs to be replaced. All the glass is good except the windshield has a crack in the middle, and one wing window has a couple cracks. The side glass cranks up and down. The driver's side door latch only works half the time. The floors are super solid. There is some rust behind the front fenders, at the bottom and at the front edge of the bed. The wood is bad in the bed. Needs a glove box door. It has a heater that looks in pretty good shape. The tires are almost new. The shocks are newer also. There are nicks, scrapes, grind marks, dents, and a whole array of funkiness in the body. The body is very rough. It looks like it was someone's first, poor attempt at bodywork, but surpisingly little bondo. The paint is poor. Contact me if you have any questions or want to look at it. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to being offered for sale locally. On Jun-18-10 at 16:11:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I Located a pair of rear fenders in my local area that are very good condition for $200. They don't have the spare tire indentation but they are almost ready for final paint. If buyer wants them I would be willing to get them for the buyer and put them in the back of the truck.. The buyer only has to pay for the fenders--$200. Also I have local guy that has a chev 235 that runs well for $150. Same kind of deal . It's a solid truck and runs pretty well .
