Vehicle Detail
1941 GMC 100 1/2 ton Pick-up, Standard Wheelbase, Less than 91,000 original miles and runs great -- Have fun and drive it home today. Burgandy with silver trim. Outstanding Chrome. Great Interior and Dash. Original Radio. Original Trunk in Pick-up box. Restored in 1971 and stored in garage. Driven 10,000 miles since restoration. New 16" Tires with original rims and GMC hubcaps. Runs great with 1953 Chevrolet 235 cu. in. 6 cylinder and 3 speed floor shift transmission. This truck was purchased by my Father in 1959 (with the current engine) and has always been garaged. My Father passed away in 2004 and up un till that time he would drive the GMC for local travel as it was his favorite vehicle and he enjoyed the attention. You will notice on the pictures my father advertised his business on the doors (Larry's Auto Body Shop). My father and his company was well established as a premiere repair and restoration specialist in the region. He was sought after to repair or restore classic and antique cars, trucks, and race cars. This GMC had been one of his favorites and we would like to see it go to a good home. As noted above, my father restored the chassis, interior and repainted the truck, box and original trunk inside and out in 1971. It is still rustfree due to constant garage storage. The truck has the original 1941 art deco hardware, instruments, steering wheel, horn, mirrors, lights, grill, bumpers, running boards,GMC hub caps, hood ornament, window and door hardware, tilt windshield, vent knobs, door locks, original blue dot/red tail lights, etc. In summary, this is a ready to drive, enjoyable antique vehicle. Due to it's uniqueness, it would be well worth investing in new exterior paint and perhaps some very minor attention to the body to showcase the classic lines and art deco style of this vintage 1941 GMC beauty and make it into a Best of Show contender.
