Vehicle Detail
1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup Truck Hot Rod, Rat Rod, Custom 2009 Snap-on Tools Calendar Car Up for auction is a nice 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup Custom Hot Rod. This is an all steel Hot Rod with no fiberglass parts. This Hot rod oozes attitude sitting still and gets loads of “road trophies” while in motion. This car was even featured in the 2009 national Snap-On tools wall calendar (month of August). The winning bidder will get three copies of the calendar and all the associated documentation. The body is about 4” longer than stock to afford better leg room and has suicide doors. The windshield is laid back and chopped to 6 1/2” at center. The top is much lower than stock. It is vinyl covered on a rigid tube frame. It does not fold down but is removable in seconds by releasing four latches. It sits on a 2” x 3” custom made frame that has been “z’d” 9 inches behind the cab. The paint is in overall good condition with a few chips and scratches that are typical for a hot rod that is driven and not trailered. It’s painted in a matt black paint, not primer. It sports Old School flames and bi-color Old School pin striping in side and out. It’s all done in a timeless style that looks good whether it’s 1950 or 2050. The car runs great and is very dependable. The only work that I know that it could use is to get the speedometer working. The speedo itself works but it needs a new cable. I bought a Lokar cable and I made the inside cable too short and it does not engage into the transmission drive. You can order just the inside cable kit from Lokar. The interior was completely re-done about a year ago and is very comfortable even on long runs. An original 1929 Oregon license plate is included with the car. It has a clear Oregon title. The only reason we are selling is that we are relocating to the east coast and can’t take it with us. Here are some of the features and details: 1929 FORD Model A Roadster Pickup Hot Rod All steel body and bed box with diamond plate bed Timeless Old School Hot Rod paint, flames and pin striping Suicide doors with shaved handles (does have door handles inside) Laid back chopped windshield Removable roadster chopped top Original 1929 grill shell 1959 Cadillac tail and brake lights Hinged tonneau cover over bed New interior upholstery and carpet New seats with lumbar support.
