I rescued this car five years ago and have driven it regularly since then until last November when it began making a loud engine noise. It sounds like someone is hitting something on the inside of the engine with a hammer. The faster the rpm the faster the tapping. I've got eight other cars and don't have the time or inclination to fool with it. It has good brakes and tires, shifts smoothly, starts right up, and runs cool. The interior is in good condition as is the headliner but the car needs paint. The windows work. The dash is cracked in a couple of places. The body is solid and rust free except for the one place as shown. The car was parked for awhile before I got it and was parked at an angle so this is where the water seemed to run off. The rust is minimal but should be addressed now. The sills, floor, and trunk appear to be fine and the car looks fine from underneath. The wheel wells and fenders are clear of rust. I am selling it as is where is (Nashville area). Although it drives fine I would not recommend driving it home as whatever is wrong with it might get worse. It was licensed through April 2010. You may pick it up in person or arrange for shipping. You are free to inspect the car and drive it up and down the driveway but not on the highway as it is no longer insured.
