You are bidding on a super condition 1978 AMC Pacer D/L Wagon. I purchased this cherry little guy from the original owners from Mississippi where it was purchased new . Has been garaged kept and well maintained since new. I have the title in my name ready to be transferred to the buyer. This car has Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cruise Control, AM Radio, Automatic Transmission and Air-Conditioning. The A/C does work and was converted to the 134 coolant last summer. But, before I purchased it last year , the A/C-Blower Motor switch shorted out. I located a new switch via “the Internet” and performed some of the clean up and repair of the switch wires, but this needs to be finished by someone that knows a little more about A/C dash wiring than I do. The car has 124,685 miles, with the 258 6cylinder motor and automatic transmission both rebuilt at 100,000. The body was repainted back in the late 80’s/early 90’s by the original Chrysler/AMC dealer the car was purchased from. I assume most of the shop work and the rebuild was done by that dealer, also. This family was dedicated to AMC cars and owned several of them. The interior is in excellent condition with very little sun damage or normal wear on plastics or carpet. Head liner is good, only missing the dome light lense covers. Dash pad is nice ,no cracks, just a little warpage. Seats are great with no noticeable splits or tears as are the door panels. One of the rear speaker grills is cracked and the clock in the dash no longer works. The exterior is in great condition, too. There are a few rock chips and a few dings in the paint and stainless trim and a very small chip in the windshield (not in line of sight), the side moldings and hubcaps exhibit’s a few scratches and nicks, but over all this little car is comparable to a 6-7 year old car. I took the little guy to a car show in Athens Alabama this past weekend, parked between some big dollar show cars , funny thing was it got more attention than the show cars parked next to it !! The little guys runs and drives out nice. The tires are only a few years old and have very little mileage on them. The suspension and steering is great, car tracks straight and rides nice. Transmission is quite and shifts smoothly I recently replaced a bunch of vacuum lines and it really smoothed out the idle, could probably use plugs, wires and dist cap, to round out a regular tune up. I also installed a new battery. All that said, I would not be afraid to drive this car to anywhere in the U.S. In all this little car is a blast from the past, and will get just as much attention as a classic Camaro, Mustang or Corvette at any show you take it to. My kids love it and so does everyone that has checked it out. I don’t think you will find a nicer original survivor Pacer anywhere ! I accept Paypal and any certified checks will have to fully clear all banks prior to new owner taking possession. Seller has no knowledge of any hidden defects in and to the Vehicle, and believes to the best of the Seller's knowledge that the Vehicle being sold is in good operating condition.
