Vehicle Detail
This incredible Honda CT90 is a very late production 1968 that is titled as a 1969. Dealers did it when they sold the bike new in the next year. As I said, it is a very late production 1968 with engine# CT90E 169651 and frame # CT90 169432. Honda always innovating and creating better models incorporated the best feature of the 1969 model in this "transitional bike". Notably, the 8 speed dual range transmission with automatic clutch, eliminating the 2 sproket arrangement. I aquired this bike from an avid Honda nut like me who was going to part it out! He lives by the slogan that "Some should die so that others may live". I pleaded with him to let me have it and make it perfect. It was already so close. It just needed a little love and 3 and one half months of weekend labor! My girl friend thinks I'm nuts and so does he, but he made the right decision. The following has been performed to insure the next owner will have years of enjoyment. I replaced both tires and tubes, tighted spokes and trued wheels, dissasembled front and rear brakes, then cleaned, reassembled and adjusted them, set the points, set the valves, replaced the spark plug, cleaned the air filter , cleaned and adjusted the chain, repaired 2 small holes in the seat (shown in pictures) , cleaned carburator and adjusted, touch up painted some light scratches checked all wiring and lights and changed the oil. Then I did a detail. Ride this bike anywhere on the trails or in town with it's dual range, high and low transmission. It starts on the first kick and idles, shifts and brakes as they did new. I think the 2540 miles are original but I cannot guarantee it. All the lighting front and rear, high and low beam, green neutral indicator light and horn work. Check out the cool optional kick stand! It does over 50 miles per hour at our 6300 foot altitude with my 205 pound but on it. In low range it will climb a tree if you can get the traction! This is not a show bike, but is very close. It has a few scratches and small wear areas I did not touch up. It comes with the factory tool kit and original owners manual. I have a clear title in hand. The exhaust pipe is near perfect with NO RUST HOLES! I have tried to show as many details as possible. The pictures tell the story. No Surprises! If you would like to talk with me directly.
