Vehicle Detail

This auction is for 2 FJ40 Toyota Landcruisers, a 1972 and a 1976. I bought these to restore and I just don't have the time and my wife wants her side of the garage back! I've had both of them for 2 or 3 years, and they've been inside the entire time. I've never had either of them running, but the guy I bought them from said they both ran when he purchased them from the original owner. You know how that goes, that may be true, or not, so I'm not gonna blow smoke and say they run great cause honestly I have no idea. I'll describe both of them as good as I can, and include a link to more pictures. Feel free to ask any questions. Like I said before, my wife wants rid of them worse than I do, so I'll entertain any and all offers. This is a no reserve auction, so hopefully somebody will be coming to pick them up from me. There's a potential with each cruiser to be restored, or you could buy and part out and probably triple your money (I just don't have the time to tear apart, clean, add to an auction and ship). Also, the brakes on both cruiser need replaced, but I'm sure how good of shape the rear end differential, and axles are in. I haven't taken them apart, however both cruiser roll easily and are not locked up. Green CruiserThis FJ40 is a 1972 with original F motor and 3 speed manual transmission and transfer case. Everything is original but does not have a top (soft or hard). Most of the body parts are still in good shape, with very minimal rust (Hood, Doors, Front 1/4 Panels, Firewall, Rear 1/4 Panels), and the front bumper is in good shape. The floor needs to be replaced because it is rusting out in the rear and the front. The dash and windshield frame are in great shape. Like I said before, I do not know if the engine runs, but it looks as if everything is still in tact as well as the carburetor. Tan Cruiser This FJ40 is a 1976 with original 2F motor and 4 speed manual transmission and transfer case. Everything is original and this Cruiser has the complete tan and white hard top with all the original glass. The top is in great shape, but as you see in the pic's I took it apart for easier storage. I also got rid of the tub because this was the one I was going to restore first with a full tub replacement. The front body parts are still in good shape, with very minimal rust just like the green one (Hood, Doors, Front 1/4 Panels, Firewall). You could buy a new or used original tub, or buy a new aluminum one. The dash and windshield frame are in great shape. Like I said before, I do not know if the engine runs, but it looks as if everything is still in tact except this motor doesn't have a carburetor on it. I started taking this cruiser apart, but everything is in Ziploc bags and labeled. This cruiser also has the back heater that's worth a lot cleaned up on eBay. The seat railings look in good shape, but the seat need to be recovered. The roll bar is in excellent shape with no rust. Has full instrument cluster still in tact also. Link to Pic's http://picasaweb.google.com/ZekeCooper54?feat=email Extra Parts I've got a bunch of extra part including: - New Poly Gas Tank - New headlights for 1976 - Wiring - Wiring covering - and a tub of extra odds and ends that come with the cruiser - Also have a set of used BFG All-Terrains 32x11.50's that are pretty worn, but have a good set of bullet hole rims with them Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer the best that I can. As mentioned before, this is a no reserve auction and I will entertain any and all offers. On Jun-04-10 at 15:08:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Question I've received twice: Do they have titles? No I do not have titles for the Cruisers because I bought them from a guy in a no title state, but I do have Bills of Sale for both of them. I had spoke with my local Title and Tag office and they said as long as I had signed Bills of Sale that it would be NO problem to get a title.
