Vehicle Detail
You are viewing, (and perhaps laughing at) my 1971 Pontiac Catalina Armbruster/Stageway 8-door limo wagon. I've owner her for about 15 years and had big plans for her, but as so often happens I have not enough time to get to all my cars so am thinning down my collection a bit starting with this, my Grand Safari clamshell wagon and my matching CAN AM.s This car does run but it has been sitting for many years and has a California non-op status. When I got her previous owner had totally gutted the interior and then lost interest. Over the years I have located many of the parts but they are not installed. This car would be a MAJOR project for someone with lots of time and patience, I have a copy of the original window sticker showing the additional Stageway equipment and the delivery point of Fort Smith where the Armbruster/Stageway facility was located. The car is a 400 V-8 2bbl. Front seat ,dash, and all instraments are in place but rest of interior is gutted. All 8 doors open and close properly and the rear window works. Tailgate is manual.I located both the storage compartment pieces and the way back seat so the new owner could build it as a 12 passenger or a 15 passenger.Again it needs LOTS AND LOTS of TLC. Please do not e-mail me and ask if it will drive to Alaska. YOU might make it but I sure wouldn't try. The body of the car is pretty good. Doors and front fenders are perfect. 1/4's were replaced with ones from a coupe so fender skirts could be used and while all welding was completed shop closed and car had to be picked up before work was finished. 1/4's look rough. Naturally a project vehicle this old is sold as is with no guaranty or warranty of any kind. Delivery would be the responsability of the new owner. She is currently running Buick Riviera style factory styled steel wheels. The picture of the black car is the cover of the Armbruster/Stageway brochure from back when the car was first produced. With a lot of TLC this car could look that good. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I am looking for additional pictures so if I find them and you include your e-mail I can forward them.
