Some of you know me ...I drive for a living and im always looking under a rock. Sometime i redo them and keep them in my warehouse sometimes I pass it on. If you are looking for the car to make a 62 tribute or 62 lightweight racer one of those 40-80K car's sold at auction...See last three photo's...this is a great one to start with!! KEEP IN MIND - THIS IS THE SOUGHT AFTER ALL WHITE with RED interior!! This is a 3 DAY auction. Then it goes to paint!! ((Hey I promised the wife I would try to sell it....not for how long)) A bud found this in a texas barn where it was since 1988 covered in dust and being used as a squirrel hotel. It was an Oklahoma car originally and then sold a few decades ago to the owner of a Texas business who never got around to doing anything with it.... It has a clear Texas title... It runs and drives,,,BUT it doesnt stop!!!!!! (Yeah I know a minor issue ..but Like a moron I started it ..tried the gears and had to pull a fred flinstone to stop it) MILEAGE If not for the squirrel farm that destroyed the front seat I could almost believe it only has 25K miles as the odometer reads... the Dash,Trunk,undercarriage, Carpet etc.. BUT realistically I will sell as-is and lets say it has rolled over on the miles to be on the safe side. The underneath of the car looks great without any rust areas and it has been undercoated. Paint has faded away but no rust through areas at all -Was kinda wondering if I just did interior, brakes and gas tank then drove it as is to be hip...But Hip is not a word people use to describe me.. Chrome/Stainless - is in excellent shape and is all there except the lower stainless on the passenger side. The usual nicks or small dings but in great shape. Missing bottom stainless on passenger side and the two 00 of a 500 side. The gas tank door still has the 500 as well!! Glass:: All in great shape (look at photo's) You'll need a windshield though to get an inspection looks like it took a bullet.....Maybe thats why the hid it in a barn??? Rubber:: all there but I would replace when you paint to be on the safe side and it is missing the strip between rear window and drivers. Motor:: Correct motor for the car. HAd it running on seperate gas tank and replace a couple of items. You will need to remove the current tank and clean or replace. Brakes:: Drum all around and not functional - I havnt checked why but on these cars it is easier to just replace master for 40 bucks. Interior _ Dash is great shape and I would leave as is. The seats and carpet need to be redone The were obviously converted to a sleek Squirrel hotel>> Headliner - I have all the rods but you'll need a new headliner - It is removed for obvious reasons and the metal looks great. Bumpers:: Front is driver quality but I would rechrome if you did all the above..Rear bumper has taken a small hit and needs a straightening or replacement Wheels:: Steel and you get 6 Trunk ::as you can see solid solid solid you get the jack etc and Floor Mats:: Looks like the 4 originals are in the trunk 1 has a crack Undercarriage...Well guess what...Somewhere in the mid to late sixties he had the entire thing blasted and undercoated...It looks great... There are the usual jack marks underneath... Car comes with hubcaps ((I just bought them on ebay while I was on the road)) Why would I sell this one??? YES I FOUND MY 64 FASTBACK with a 390 in Austin Texas ...so enjoy this... I am putting it on a 3 day auction as I have decided if it does not sell it goes to the paint shop (Johns customs of Dallas for orginal down to metal paint in a stock gasser category) Do I do a lightweight clone or pure stock I included a couple of photos?? As an FYI I have located the windshield (300) The rear bumper (rechromed 330) The seats redone (500) new moulded carpet (130) .... This is a NR or NO RESERVE AUCTION bid to win!!! It looks great even has the sticker for jack visable also has jack as well. NO there is no rust through on floor boards. The only area of any interest is front fender near wheel (look in photo) a 1.5 inch piece of rust.. The headliner is removed but all the rods are in trunk and you can see how good the metal looks. (they are 50 bucks on ebay). YES the BUYIT NOW PRICE WAS $5,350.00 once bidding starts it is removed (some ebay thing) . That brings US to my last point..THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION--- Last man standing wins So BID to win...
