Vehicle Detail

Vehicle description Oregon title and registration to 10/10. Always garaged and covered. Nonsmoker. Built from the ground up, starting with 1/12” by 3” rectangular tubing. This car has some interesting and different construction details. Not a show car by any means, but looks pretty good for a driver. Original rear fenders, gas tank (not used, but is in sound condition), cowl support, dash panel, hood (no side panels) and light bar. Front fenders are fiberglass. Splash aprons, cowl sides, grille, headlights and visor are new steel. Most of the vg doug fir is recycled. Running boards are vg doug fir. All wood has 3 coats of ext. urathane. Body parts and frame have 2 coats of Por15. Body parts also have 1 coat of Por15 etching primer and 1 coat of NAPA sealing primer. Front end, steering, drive shaft, rearend from ‘76 Mercury Bobcat (Mustang II). Frontend has new rack & pinion. All new brakes and brake lines. Engine; ‘74 Mustang II V6, Tranny; ‘86 Ford ranger 5 speed manual. New clutch and clutch plate. Dual exhaust with glass packs. New shocks. Wherever possible, I have used Stainless Steel hardware. Buyer will receive a 115 photo progression DVD. Vehicle condition Ready to hit the road, except for gas gauge not working. Body is pretty straight, but the rear fenders and the hood, although very sound, are going to need some body work. Has built in 8 point steel cage that helps stiffen the wood structure. Generic seats w/ shoulder/seat belts. NO heater or air conditioning-this is pretty much a summer car. Has hand mechanical wiper. Raising door window requires both hands. All glass is lightly tinted safety plate. Door hardware is also rather unique, but works well and has key lock from outside. ’35 Ford wheels with adaptors. Coker tires are very good w/ 90% tread. No spare tire, jack. Rear gas tank w/ locking cap. Fluids have been changed. Car was started on 11-26-2005, when I started welding the frame. Car was drivable on 8-5-2006. See new pictures. I will not reveal the reserve. If you want the car, make a bid that you can live with. I accept Paypal deposit and cash. I will accept cashiers check or personal check but will not release the car to ANYBODY until your check has cleared YOUR bank. Potential buyers are welcome to come and see the woodie. As stated, it is no show car, but is solid and has been very reliable. I went on a 2000 mile trip with zero problems, except for running out of gas, because someone syphoned the gas. It now has a locking gas cap. Gas gauge still doesn't work. Even had the front end aligned after install. whbess101@yahoo.com- 503-842-547-, 503-842-5802. I am very reluctant to sell this car, as it has been very reliable and fun to drive. However, I am building a race car and need the money to finish that project. Good luck on bidding.
