Vehicle Detail
This is a 1977 Alfetta Sedan in great over-all condition. I am the 4th owner and bought it with 79K miles. I had it shipped from california back in 2006. Prior to that it was in the Bay area all of its life and always maintained by its past owners. I don't really have any records, but accoring to the 3rd owner, whom I bought the car from: the 1st owner had it in his collection of cars til '96 when he sold it to his freind with 54K miles... the 2nd owner while he had it, did a major service including valve adjustment and spica overhaual with new thermostatic actuator, new brake rotors and pads all around, new front Bilstein shocks.... he sold it to the 3rd owner in 2006 who proceeded to do another major servicing at 78K miles including a major tune-up with plugs, wires, distributor rotor, retorque cylinder head, all filters and fluids including brake and coolant flush, all driveshaft flex disc, new center support bearing, drive-shaft fully balanced (Asolutely no shakes all the way up the rev), new clustch set with new slave cylinders and hoses, new center and rear Stebro exhaust, new voltage regulator, alternator belt, upper and lower radiator hoses, cool looking factory OEM mudflaps, Shankle Quadraflow intake with new K & N filters, Ansa tubular headers with European down-pipe. When I got the car in 2006, mechanically the car was in great condition... Structually and under-body wise was in pristine condition... but the original "Biancospino AR 013" looked weathered with cracked front windshield. Once I was able to locate a new windshiled up In Ma (probably last one in country), I gave it a new paint job and repaired early rust spots around the front and rear windshield area.... I always throught early Alfetta sedan looked really sporty and decided to give a little bit of Ralley look with stripes (sorry it was painted and front stripe is slightly off aligned). The original velour seat was loosing a lot of its stitchings, so replaced with Recaro seats form Milano Verde. .. couldn't find nice rear so it has plain Milano rear seats.. Both the original front and rear seats are available if the buyer wants them...Also put restored 14 inch Cromodora "Daytona" style ultralight magnesium alloys wheels with new Yokohama 195/65/14 tires (these wheels will be taken off and replaced with restored OEM mesh style 14 inch Campagnolo magnesium wheesl wtih Pirelli P4000 185/60/14 in great condition---please look at the pictures). The Daytona wheels will be available to the buyer at extra cost)..... Brake booster was going and was replaced with nice used one.... middle Stebro muffler was loosing its baffle so was replaced. Starter was also replaced with a rebuilt unit...... new rear pads were replaced and oil change was recently done... These Alfettas sedans are amazingly well balanced due to the tranaxle set up and very rewarding to drive, provided the mechanicals are in good tune and driveshaft and tranny is smooth and balanced, as is the condition of this car. Engine is strong...Spica injection is in excellent tune and the car starts easily cold or hot.... revs up easily all the way up the rpm range.. will cruise at 80mph all day long or dribble aong heavy traffic condtion without fuss with temp gauge staying middle... oil pressure at 4K rpm registers midpoint.. all gauges work... all electrical work except honk.. dash in near perfect conditon(two early cracks just beginning but not very visible).. clutch is progressive and light... shifting is tight and and transmission and synchros are all good inlcuing second gear which is fine cold or hot....driveshaft is smooth without any vibrations, steering is responsive except for mild center vagueness... ride is tight and smooth... Quadraflow intake and Ansa headers with Stebro rear combine to provide nice sporty sound without being too loud.. Paint remains in pristine condition.... Flaws include rear left window winder which doesn't work... two less than dime size bubble on paint along the lower edges of the doors.. honk doesn't work after changing steering wheels to Momo (probably just wire connection).. Overall the car is a turn key car which has been well maintained by sympathetic past owners. I am in the process of down-sizing my small collection and hope to find a good loving owner... In the spirit of auction, and belief that there are enough Alfistis out there who will appreciate this car for what it is, I will be selling with "no reserve"... Good Luck and you won't be dissappointed. The car is sold as is, where is without any warranties implied or inferred. I have the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally as well.. I will help as best as I can with shipping although it is at Buyer's expense.
