I am selling a 1973 Triumph Spitfire 1500. It is in good running condition with 69,000 miles. It has virtually no rust, original paint and was garage kept for over 30 years. There are a few chips in the paint, but overall is immaculate. I've put new tires on it, and replaced the convertible top last month. All weather stripping was also replaced, so the car is water-tight. The interior is in good shape. New black carpeting was installed recently. All wiring was tested and fixed, and all signals, horn, and lamps work. The radio does not work, I think it might just be a fuse or a short in one of it's wires but I don't have the knowledge to check the leads. It has new shock absorbers and tires with around 200 miles on them and new brake pads. As far as the engine goes, it runs strong, starts without trouble and idles nicely. I've replaced all the basic maintenance parts i.e. spark plugs, wires, belt, oil changes, transmission fluid, air/fuel filters, new windshield wipers and done a general cleaning of the engine bay area. I've also replaced the alternator and had the radiator cleaned, pressure tested, and repainted. The only one issue that will want to be addressed is the clutch components may want to be replaced in the future as there is a small leak somewhere in the line. I add about 1oz. of fluid a week to the clutch reservoir to top it off. I'm not sure where the leak is, and it may be something easily fixed or may need a full clutch repair to remedy the problem. I'm selling it because I'm moving to Pennsylvania and can't take the car with me. If there are any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to call me.
