Vehicle Detail

I'M DONE, with this 1972 Chevrolet VEGA GT station wagon! It's a great project to restore or for building a Pro-Street drag car with the addition of a SBC! This is a CALIFORNIA CAR and this one has almost NO RUST, which is unique to Chevy Vega's! I bought it in primer with a guide coat, assuming to just add paint, and a small block. But nuooo, I started in on a 100 point restoration! Now I'm into it for more than it's worth! I'm selling it like it is, to avoid any further loss! The good news for you is, that you can get off to a good start on a great classic project car! It only needs a few more parts to be complete. A rear valence, a front windshield, the lower GT moldings, the GT side emblems and whatever else. You won't need any sheetmetal parts, these are all THE original, and rust free, or have been properly repaired. The only metal work it might need is a small rust hole repair under the battery tray. The floors are in great condition! The windshield corners have been repaired with lead. There were a few quarter size rust areas at the bottom of a door and a fender, which have been repaired. Some very light body work (about 4 or 5 quarter size dents), and a little bondo in the front of the roof, will be necessary here and there, before final primer and paint. I have ONE GT woodgrain door panel, in excellent condition, and 2 standard panels, with speaker holes cut in them. The inside of the doors also have speaker holes cut in. The front and rear seats are in driver condition, but will need repair for show. I did find a BUILD SHEET under the rear seat! The correct, original jack, hook, stand, lug wrench, and spare tie-down in great condition is there too!The headliner is sagging, the dash pad needs repair, but the gauges and bezel are nice, along with the floor console. The GT steering wheel is "sticky" I have the original carpet, but it will need replacing. I DO Have NEW door weatherstripping and NEW window fuzzies! There is currently a 1976 BUICK V6 under the hood, with all the A/C, that the previous owner said was running, but the distributor was out when I got it, so I don't know if it runs or not. I don't want to go there! I think there is a th-350 trans. I did see a custom drive shaft and a front and rear sway bar though, air shocks, but not holding. Has front POWER DISC BRAKES! P/S too! As far as the title goes, I have been to CA. DMV and paid fees, in my name, but they said it's been "off the record for more than 7 years, and it needs VIN verification". I did get paperwork, but I'm not into that, so it comes with a Bill Of Sale from me, for now. As far as shipping, I'll be going to Georgia from here in a few weeks, with an enclosed trailer, so maybe we can work something out. It will be shipped with both doors on and the front and rear seats installed, and the parts NEATLY packed. I can take additonal pictures if necessary, or you can call me with questions. Questions through ebay MAY be posted for others to see! Pay Pal for deposit, ballance due within 10 days! Thanks, George @ 909- 5807443 anytime!
