1977 INTERNATIONAL IH SCOUT II RALLYE 4X4 Classic Truck 1977 International Harvester Scout II Rallye 4X4 Package. This four speed manual transmission and authentic Rallye Scout II powerhouse is driven by a potent 8 cylinder IH 304 motor. Another example of a fast becoming extinct IH vehicle. Built out of the legacy of the agricultural giant, IH didn't just build quality, but damn-near bombproof trucks. This vehicle has a new 4 Barrel 470 CFM Holley Off-Road Truck Avenger Carburetor, which sits in top of a 1/2" phenolic carb spacer and an RPT Aluminum intake manifold. Carburetor breathes through a Spectre low profile 4" dual plenum ("carb hat") with dual high flow cone air filters. Fuel is propelled by a Summit electric fuel pump regulated by a Holley regulator maintaining fuel pump cooler by returning excess fuel back to a new Polyurethane 19 gallon fuel tank (this fuel tank will never rust!). Fuel tank is protected by heavy steel skid plate. Gas also flows through a fuel cooler before reaching the Fram fuel filter canister (10 microns) and the carb. Fuel pressure gauges in engine bay (mechanical) and in cab (electric). This Four-Wheel drive Scout can be put to good use for several hundred thousand miles or just nicely shown off at a dealer, a business, car shows, or parades. Starts right up (quick turn and release of the key or push button) with zero smoke. Can be started conventionally (with key) or with push start button in cab or in engine bay (with key in "ON" position). Couple of small lumps surfaced on left rear fender wheel well. Please check pictures. Transfer case can be engaged from 2WD to 4WD High without locking the hubs (Auto 4X4). Very attractive body and color, super stock looking yet durable and ready for rugged and heavy-duty use or just for show. Original air conditioner still blowing cold air. Modern sealed beam headlights powered by "Bright Headlights" relay kit. Equipped with complete dual exhaust system (70 Series Flowmaster mufflers with zero interior resonance). Ignition, charging, and starting wiring has been upgraded to exceed the most conservative or demanding loads. All weak and overworked wiring has been upgraded. The AMP gauge system (or antediluvian power distribution system) has been modified to accept and deliver increased loads. Charging system driven by a 140 AMP Powermaster alternator. Painless Hotshot engine starter relay delivers extra juice to the starter during cranking. Backup remote starter relay (Ford Bronco solenoid) in place. Can be hooked up if needed (not likely). Gauges work great . Amp gauge has been disconnected and replaced by a Voltage meter. Fuel gauge works perfectly (NO 3/4 reading when full!). "Idiot" light installed to indicate low voltage (although Voltage meter gauge is easy to read day or night while driving). Starting voltage check indicator lamp installed (lights up when cranking). Quality fuel pressure, oil and water temp gauges. Driven 2-3 times weekly, engine oil changed approx. every 3 months. This vehicle is titled in Washington State as classic vehicle. New WA classic vehicle license plate on vehicle. Floor is set and ready for new carpet. Tires in great shape. Spare tire in like new condition. Original spare tire swing-out carrier in outstanding condition. All five tires mounted on authentic IH Scout II Rallye wheels. Battery: Sealed Kinetik KHC1800 high current car and audio power cell wired through 2/0 battery cable to Flaming River HD 250 Amp rated battery disconnect switch. Ignition system: MSD 6 Off-Road Ignition control, MSD HVC II high voltage coil, MSD 8.5 mm 40-50 ohm Super Conductor spark plug wires, MSD Off-Road rev limiter, MSD adjustable timing control (in cab), Pertronix stealth solid-state electronic ignition system (Ignitor), stock distributor, Iridium spark plugs. "Gold box" (original electronic ignition module) in place, not hook up (for backup use). Sound system: Known for its clarity - Eclipse deck with ESN technology, 5V Pre-out, CD player, HD Radio, Sirius, and MP3. Complemented by a compatible Eclipse multi CD Changer. CD changer is installed in heavy-duty Tuffy security center console. High amp Amplifier powers four well respected for outstanding quality Focal speakers. Rear inner fenders sealed to protect rear Focal speakers also reproducing outstanding sub-woofer like sound. This vehicle has been treated extensively with Second Skin products to minimize unwanted noise/sound/vibration and heat. Engine lubrication: Rotella 15W40 HD engine oil and Zinc additive. Oil flows through Remote oil filter system and Engine oil cooler (resulting in increased oil filter change intervals, extended engine life, and increased oil capacity). Suspended on four 9000 series (ride adjustable) Rancho shock absorbers. Complemented with a Rancho steering stabilizer. Equipped with Grant Collector's Edition 14" steering wheel (+Scout logo). Vehicle can be stored in current location (garaged-insulated) for up to 2 weeks from end of auction. Sale is final at auction end.
