Vehicle Detail
1979 Chevrolet Corvette I don't want to sell this car but am needing garage space for work. I can't bear to see it go outside and covered. I also have to let a few toys go. So here it is: I have owned the car for 4 years. The original owner's wife drove it for 74000 miles until the transmission went out in 1995. It sat in a garage for over 10 years and then went outside for about 3 years until they decided to sell it. Another guy bought it and had it for a couple of months before he realized he didn't want to spend the time to fix it. I came along and bought it from him as a project build. During the 3 years water got in through the windshield, run down the drivers side door and onto the drivers floor. I haven't got around to fixing the pan. Passenger side is perfect. The frame is also in great shape and is solid. The windshield has a rock chip, the temp gauge needs replaced, the tach needs a new circuit board, and the door locks need sprayed with wd40 to loosen them up. The carpet is in need of replacement but isn't terrible for a daily driver, and the seats need recovered someday. The car has been painted one time since new and looks good from 15 feet but may need a new one again. The rear speakers were missing when I purchased the car. The antenna doesn't go up and down but still gets reception. Now for the good stuff; The suspension is in great shape shape, is tight and corners good. Shocks are good. Power steering pump is new and works great. The headlights vacuum are 100%. The engine has Mallory ign., Taylor wires, Dynomax headers, and 21/2 flowmasters. Edelbrock intake and fuel pump, Holley 650 double pump, Lunati cam with .494 lift and .292 duration. Tranny is th350 rated for 500hp with a shift kit. Polished aluminum valve covers, alternator, PVC valve, linkage, fuel log and power steering pulley. Headers are heat wrapped. The car sounds and runs great! Fun to drive and an easy project car! I hate to see it go but will feel good if it goes to someone who will appreciate it. Serious bidders only and good luck! If you have any questions or if I missed something feel free to e-mail.
