You are looking at a 1955 Ford Thunderbird Hard Top convertible. This car was my mothers and she had it restored in 1980. It sat in her garage ever since and was not touched. I wanted to restore it but I am in no way a car guy and would not even know where to start with it. I had a good friend come over and he got the engine to turn over and even fire off. I was told it is a 1956 312 . I am not sure but had a couple people tell me that is what size and year engine it is. The body is in real good shape as you can see from the pictures. I was told it does need inner and outer rockers and a hood the rest they said was in good shape. The car is a primer color but listed as white on the title. This is pretty much a complete car and a great project for anyone with the know how. I hate to sell it but hate letting it sit here even more. Someone out there would enjoy this car for what it is. I do have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to stop action at any time. Buyer would be responsible for any shipping cost and set up. I will help out in any way I can but it is the buyers responsibility to set up and pay for shipping. This Thunder Bird has a clear New Jersey title. This car is a 1955. The Steering wheel and engine have been changed from a 1956. I do have a clear NJ title. A buddy did get it to turn over and fire off. I wanted to post a video of the car running today. A little gas down the carb and it started right up. We also have a video of us pulling it out of the shop but when I went to stop the brakes went to the floor. I am not sure whats wrong with them.
