UPDATE: The reserve has been removed ! Excellent condition and Very Fast. This is my daily ride into NYC and I was planning on keeping it until I saw the BMW S1000RR :-) so I'm selling this and my 2001 GSXR600 Racing Bike (see separate listing) to finance the new machine. The bike runs perfectly, is always garaged and run on full sythetic lubricants. I was planning on keeping it so I installed a Full Yoshimura Competition Exhaust last summer along with a Bazzaz Fuel Computer with Traction Control and Quickshifting. Also put on New Michelin Power Sport 2CT DualCompound Tires (the best out there until they release the super light Pure Powers). The Bazzaz system is a like a high end Power Commander. It offers 10 position traction control and two fuel maps which can be switched on the fly by controls on the handlebars (see photos). You can also fully modify all parameters and maps with the USB connecton and your laptop. It even has a learning mode which will allow it to optimize fuel management for a specific track or your favorite backroad and riding style. The Quickshift is amazing! it seemlessly provides instant formula 1 style upshifting. Keep the throttle pinned and shift as fast as you can and try to wipe the smile off your face! Important: the bike/quickshift is set up for GP shifting, the reverse of normal a normal shift pattern. On the Suzuki you just need to rotate the linkage 180 degrees on the input shaft (one bolt) to restore a street shift pattern and then adjust the lever height - but the quickshift will no longer work - you need to swap the tension sensor in the linkage for a compression sensor (available from Bazazz). If you haven't tried GP shifting it's much better, you're now pressing down to upshift (much faster) and if your a knee down kind of person you can upshift when exiting left turns without getting your toes between the shift lever and the track :-) It's only a problem if you've got more than one bike, in which case it's preferred to have them all set up with the same shift pattern. The bike is being sold as is but is in great condition. The tank has been covered with a magnetic bra and top cover, included and shown with them on and removed in the photos and is almost perfect. There is a small crack near the left tail light when I accidentally tipped the bike over against my van in the garage. Also a small crack in the very bottom of the front fairing radiator vent where I bumped it on a curb. The left rear fairing bracket is also cracked which I will repair and there is small scratch on the left clutch cover (tipped against a curb last week :-( The bike comes with the seat cowl but I also have the passenger seat and foot pegs which have been removed (I never ride two up). I can also include the stock exhaust and pipe if you want them. I also have a pair of high end New Woodcraft frame sliders which I never installed and will include. Additional Information: It was pointed out to me that my listing might give the impression that this bike was used for racing or track days. This is not the case. The bike has never been on a racetrack. It was set up for GP shifting to match my GSXR600 race bike (just sold) to avoid shift confusion when going from one bike to the other. The uninstalled frame sliders (included in sale) were purchased in contemplation of using the bike for a track day but I decided that a liter bike in non-professional hands (mine) could easily get one in "too deep" on the track. Please feel free to ask any questions ! Payment: A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction close and full payment due withing 7 days. I can accept Paypal, Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit), bank check, money order, personal check or cash. All non-cash funding must be verified/cleared before pick up or delivery of the bike. Shipping/Pick-up: I prefer local pick-up of the bike but I am willing to deliver the bike locally (within a few hours) for a negotiable fee (gas and tolls). If you would like the to have the bike shipped, you will have to make all the arrangements but I would be available for the shipper to pick up the bike at a mutually convenient time Please note that I am the orignal owner of the bike, the title is clear and the miliage is accurate.
