Vehicle Detail

If your looking for a fully set up racing bike which is also street legal and registered for track days or to begin racing, this is a great machine. I purchased the bike used in full race trim for use in the Loudon Racing Series (LRSS) at New Hampshire Int'l Speedway and was informed that it was Richard Alexander's racing bike used for the 2001 Daytona Supersport Event (his name is still painted on the drilled rear rotor). Chassis has been set up by GMD Computrack with full Yoshimura race exhaust, Ohlins supsension, Power Commander, Woodcraft clip-ons, clutch cover, rearset foot pegs and sliders, gear indicator. Recently, I converted the bike to to street trim with aftermarket bodywork. Included are two race fairings (some damage) with aluminum race fairing support and the racing seat cowl. Also included are a variety of spare parts including a rear wheel with mounted rain tire and front rain tire (not mounted), spare fuel tank with pump, lap timer and more. Bike is fully drilled for safety wire and most fasteners are wired. Bike has new Michelin Pilot Sport 2CT dual compound tires, has been well cared for and run on full synthetic lubricants, new battery w/tender included. Please note there is no ignition switch/key as the bike was set up for racing (gas cap opens with anything resembling a flat screwdriver). The is some minor damage: one foot peg mount was broken, welded and repaired, the street fairing mount was damaged and repaired with carbon fiber and there is a minor dent in the tank (see photos). Exhaust sound is great, better than the Yosh on my GSXR-1000 (I'm selling/trading both bikes for the new BMW S1000RR :-). The bike fires instantly, runs well and should be competitive in it's class in the right hands. The bike is sold as is. Miscellaneous spares are included (not in photos) Pick up is preferred but I can deliver the bike for a negotiable fee in the NJ/NY/PA/New England area. This is a great bike to begin racing on, for track days or race schools. Learn to get your knee down without worrying about your street bike - and you can even ride it to the track! And NO, the Aston Martin DB9 is not included ... but it does show the bike comes from a good home where fast machines are appreciated and well cared for :-) Note: Race Photos are me at Pocono, 2005 with the race fairings, a few scuffs since then, but hey, you'll look experienced - and if your going to really compete, want to look good and don't have a sponsor, stickers and spray paint go a long way :-) Please note updates. I removed the Paypal requirement and can accept a deposit with a credit or debit card (Mastercard of Visa only). Also added my favorite photo of the bike, also at Pocono, with the yellow fairing. ** Please also note in the response to submitted questions: Title is clear, reserve is currently $3000. I also replied that the mileage was accurate to my knowledge. Upon reflection I recalled that when I purchased the bike the speedometer cable was broken which I had repaired. I don't know how long it was not operational so the mileage is probably not accurate and is higher than originally indicated. Again, to the best of my knowledge the bike has been used almost exclusively on the track so I would expect the mileage is lower than a street machine of similar vintage, but the miles were probably at higher rpms and load than most of us would use on the street. My apologies for the error. In the interest of full disclosure I would like to call your attention to the conditions noted above and shown in the photos: Dent on left top rear of tank, welded repair to right foot peg, carbon fiber repair of street fairing brace (in photo with speedo). The race bodywork has many scuffs, a few holes and other minor imperfections courtesy of unscheduled proximity to the racing surface :-) which are not highlighted in the photos. All are easily repaired with a little fiberglass and epoxy.
