Vehicle Detail

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to look at my 1971 cb750 motorcycle listing. This is a auction for a great running 71 cb750 which is pretty much stock with the exception of the pipes, and touring seat. The bike fires right up on the first kick and settles right into the typical honda big 4 idle. Compared to other 750's i've owned in the past this one is far from being cold blooded. The 4 into 1 has a nice deep sound to it, and sounds great going through the gears. The bike starts drives and does everything that it should. Charging system works, all horn, turns, light(hi beam is out) function, cables move smoothly, motor runs smooth and doesn't smoke, or knock. I'll go through and focus on the good, bad and ugly so that there are no surprises to the buyer. Seat: non stock but comfy, soft and works with stock honda latches. Note the early 750's did not have a keyed lock on the frame for the seat like the later 750's recieved. Tank: Bike was brown from the factory but some one repainted it years ago. 2" light dent in the left side but clean inside. no leaks and the petcock is not stiff or hard to turn, with no leaks as well. Paint is crackled. Side covers: cracks in the corners but can be repaired. All tabs are still there and not broke off. Fenders: nice smooth with no dents. Chrome is not rusty but some light scratches in spots. Tail light: correct small tail light !! for the early CB's with no cracks Rims: very few rust specs, spokes still shine. Very nice looking pieces. Head light: low beam ok, high beam burned out, bucket is nice with no cracks or damage. Brakes: Work perfect, no dragging or hanging up, smooth solid feel to them. Fork ears: Again correct early ears with the small reflectors. These still have the brown under the black as I wet sanded a tiny section under a reflector to find the factory color. Can not see as i reinstalled the reflector. No dents, rust, and straight. Chain guard: Incorrect but functional and chrome Gauges: both needles move and indicate as stock, faces are not all faded and cracked by the sun. The speedo lense is loose although. Note: early gauges as well, Honda moved the idiot lights (which all function correctly) out of the gauges on later 750's. Controls: all the switches and buttons function as they should. Top tripple tree bolts are not the correct chrome 6 point bolts. Motor: fresh carb cleaning, oil change, and valve lash adjustment per the Honda specs. Runs great, no issues at all. All gears shift smoothly, no clutch issues. There is a small oil drip that I notice from time to time appears to be coming from the rear output shaft seal. Nothing that alarming but I haven't had a chance to dig in and replace it yet. Battery: is older (2008) but bike still runs and starts fine. As you can see the bike is a fairly complete example of a early 750. With the correct seat, pipes, paint, and love this would make a wonderful start for a show bike. Currently is a clean great rider, but would look amazing back to stock. The front tire is in ok shape but the rear is going to need to be changed in the near future. Clean clear WI title ready to go. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less you must contact me prior to bidding!! Bike is sold as is were is. If you have questions or need a addition photo of something feel free to email me and I"ll try to quickly get what you need. I prefer local pick up, and can hang onto the bike for 10 days at the end of the auction close. Deposit of $50 to be made with 48 hours after conclusion of auction Via paypal. If you back out I reserve the right and will keep you deposit for relisting the bike and for wasting my time. Payment must be recieved with-in 7 days no exceptions Cash or bankers check for balance after deposit no if's and's or but's I will work with your shipping company if you are having it shipped to arrange time and to help load and secure it. I am not going to make call after call for you to ship it. You want it shipped, the truck better just show up all pre-arranged and a predetermined time, I will help with loading. Too many ebayers have taken avantage of the shipping and had me waste a ton of my time in the past making call after call and now I don't want to deal with it at all. If you want to ship it contact me for the address and I will be happy to give it to you. This is a No reserve auction so bid to win, and good luck. The bike is as is where is, if you want to come and kick tires stay home, this is an auction and it will be run as one. If you want to come do an inspection before the auction ends just contact, it is not ok to do an inspection after the auction ends. Non paying bidders will be reported to Ebay. If you don't plan on paying don't bid!! Local pickup is always free!! Thank you for your time.
