1979 Honda Gold Wing

1979 Honda Goldwing GL1000 in great shape. Everything works. Notable comments: Dyna ignition; new Bridgestone Spitfiles front and back; new front brake pads EBC and 90+ rear pads; new front master cylinder; new front wheel bearings; excellent set of Vetter bags attached with keys - Vetter chrome tail rack included but not installed (needs grab rail). A fantastic GL1000 which is ready to ride! LOW reserve on this GL - less than $3k - bike has to go as I have no time to ride. Bike runs and idles perfectly. Brakes are very good for 1979 and new master cylinder provides significant improvement. All lights in proper working order. Shifts nicely. Pipes have a great sound but not too loud. No leaks anywhere. Overall handling is very good - this bike always gets attention. All fluids renewed in the last 500 miles. Timing belt changed at 25k per previous owner (I would recommend renewing.) Front brake system working well but needs bleeding. Also included - Vetter Windjammer V with GL1000 mounting bracket (disassembled but includes cassette radio - will need painting to match bike.) Some other parts as well, including 75 style rear light mount. Original manual and tool bag. 2 keys for ignition and tank box. Overall cosmetics are great - wonderful from the 5 foot test - however, this is a 30 year old bike and has the small dings and imperfections you would expect. There is some rust on the bottom of the pipes and on some exposed metal parts but you have to look close. A very sharp looking and running machine that will not dissapoint for the price.
