Vehicle Detail

i have finally had to make the decision to sell my fathers old project car. it is a 1967 chevy impala convertible. he purchased this car as resto project in the mid 80's. when he got it he sent it out to have the body work and paint done at a very reputable local body shop owned by his personal friend. it has had many parts restored and or replaced. the engine is a 283 two barrel. the transmission is a two speed powerglide with less than 1,000 miles on the rebuild. the radial tires also have less than 1,000 miles on them. the interior has had the seats redone with factory replacement style covers. the carpeting has also been replaced. the readio has been replaced with a pioneer super tuner w/cd player. the top was replaced and the rear window is in very good condition. there is also a box of miscellaneous spare parts in the trunkthat go to the winning bidder. my father rarely drove this car except during the late 80's early 90's when he would drive it to haul miss ohio contestants in the miss ohio parade. i have had this car in my possession since 1996. i am the only one that has driven it since then. i must say that i cant remember a time that i would drive this car that someone wouldnt say"thats a nice car" or something to that effect. it definitely gets noticed. this car was left for my son which loved his grandpa's car as he watched the restoration taking place. my son realizes that this car is now not really practical for him and would like it to be owned by someone that can appreciate it for what it is. i do know that the gas guage does not work. i am guessing its the sending unit. there are also a few spots that have been brush touched on the paint. and if you really stab the brakes on occasion it may pull to the right. other than that it is a really nice driver and if you would like to put in a little more effort it could be a top notch ride. we are just tired of it sitting around. any questions please call tim at 419-571-8137 or email flyinsign@neo.rr.com.
